Arrived 1pm no rooms were ready for check in and would not be ready until 3pm, which i accepted with no problem. Asked if they would direct me to the rest room i was told they were closed due to the pandemic. I explained that i really needed to go and was i going to do she replied with a shrug of the shoulder "i dont know that's up to you" she then said that i should know that there is a pandemic and that "we're really not open". I feel that after hours of traveling , pouring rain and the fact that i had a reservation some accommodation should have been made. Also her attitude was not one appropriate for one in hospitality or customer service.

The whole place smells like weed and to top it off the room next to me was smoking it late at night and again in the morning; the balcony door did not have a great seal and as a result we got to smell it even more than in the hallways. I guess I should have expected it as this the FIRST AND ONLY hotel I’ve stayed in that had me sign that I wouldn’t have parties, smoke weed, do drugs, and/or other things. It’s really too bad because it could be a nice place.

The hotel is dated, the lobby elevators, room doors are all old and worn! The carpet in the room was full of stains, the tub had a drip with a mold stain around drain! The only thing nice about this hotel was the staff who always went above and beyond and was super nice!

Don't stay here this place has mice and has the nerve to serve brunch on sunday's the hotel lobby smelled horrible like the floors needed cleaning, don't do it stay somewhere else I called the front desk to let someone know and the lady had the nerve to ask do I want to change rooms like it was only 1 mouse in the hotel, refund me my money and went somewhere else to stay NEVER AGAIN, its horrible there

Disappointed at the least

I had to go to 3 different rooms....The first one had ants in the bathroom and no hot water...The second one the carpet had iron stains on it and was dirty....The third one had just been renovated but still needs updating....The young lady at the front desk was very nice and willing to help, she is the reason I didn't leave.

I went in my room and it was dirty and the tub was black at the bottom it was not a place I would sleep with my family. I went to the front desk and they changed my room and that was the same so I just checked out!!!! Don’t ever go there not worth it

I was told to stay here by close family but I think they based it more off of the food and club instead of the actual stay. My room was clean as far a put together but not disinfected. It seem a like people just come and go. The beds were totally uncomfortable and I still have a crook in my neck. I didn’t even sleep under the sheets from fear of God knows what was under there. The lobby is nice and gives that southern feeling which can be completely misleading when it comes to the rooms. My mother also stayed there and was charged double which the backs had to fix. Her room had two small roaches in it and the facet to the tube feel off in the shower. Complete disappointment for what they charged per night which was $124 with tax. I wish we had chose to stay somewhere else.

Rooms are worn with runs in carpet. Furniture is very worn out. Wallpaper getting old and peeling. Says it is smoke free but very strong smell of smoke in many areas of the hallways.

I am doing some work across the street at the Medstar Southern MD Hospital so this is very convenient and I have a had a pretty good experience so far. No complaints. The online price with Expedia really gives me an extra discount

Room is old. Smelled like old ashtrays. Carpet is awful. Room access card reader is maddening to say the least. On top of that a $100 hold was placed on my credit card.

The hotel smelled putrid, it’s outdated and in need of a renovation. My room was not as clean as, therefore, I cleaned it myself & bought sheets to sleep on. I did not ask for another room b/c I assumed that the conditions would be similar if not worse than the room that I had. The only plus was that the staff were friendly, but I will not be staying here again.

Room for improvement

Shower was lukewarm with medium pressure which I found to be ridiculous. Overall everything else was ok. It seems the quality of the hotel has went down.

I picked Colony South because I had a nice relaxing the last time i booked. For starters, the pool was CLOSED (i definitely wouldn’t have booked if i knew this). The bathroom tub didn’t look clean enough to shower! If check out is at 11am, why is housekeeping knocking on the door at 8am asking if we’re checking out or staying?! My last stay no one knocked ever.
