Nestled on the hillside above the historic precinct of Clyde this classic kiwi batch offers stunning views - on a recently added deck - at a great price. No more than a stone’s throw from the heart of Clyde you can literally smell the coffee. A great place to stay whether you are looking to bike the Rail Trail or just kick back and take it easy for a few days.

The House:
• Only 200m to Cafes, restaurants, gelato shop, movie theatre and quaint gift shops
• Lake Dunstan only a 5 min drive
• Situated very close to start of the world famous Rail Trail

Central Otago offers many great activities close by:
• Wine tasting at the many close by vineyards
• Golf
• Many historical towns & locations
• 5 minute drive from Clyde into Alexandra
• Only an hours drive to Queenstown or Wanaka & 20 minutes to Old Town Cromwell

Everything we needed

Great little bach. Nothing fancy but everything we needed and wanted. Lovely backyard for relaxing in sun or for kids to play. Eateries and bike trails etc close by.

Great location in Clyde

The deck was outstanding being able to sit out and take in the view. We even had a dog come visit and spend an hr playing fetch. Shower has amazing pressure. I would definitely come back and stay 🌟

I loved the retro furniture and other things in the property. I loved that there was no tv nor microwave - a good old fashioned bach/crib. I loved that there were games to play and books to read. I loved the view and the night sky. The location was close to town and access instructions were clear. Thanks very much - bless you

Just magic

What a wonderful place to stay with an elevated long view facing west over the garden/trees to town (walking district to central Clyde). No TV or WiFi was perfect for this Retro/Kitch kiwi crib. Very well set up with a sheltered verandah that adds to the indoor/outdoor flow. In a word - blissful !

Cottage at Clyde

Great place. Lovely big sunny deck. This is an older home with a good location. We biked the Lake Dunstan trail and had a lovely time. Shower drain is partially blocked so drains very slowly and could potentially flood. Otherwise clean, tidy and peaceful place.

Clyde two night stay.

Very convenient location and a true Kiwi bach and a very comfortable bed, but not good value for money. An exhorbadant cleaning fee there was only two of us! Also very cold, no wifi, no microwave, no television and the fire was not set.This experience cost us more per night than a modern, luxurious apartment in central Wanaka the previous 4 nights. Not a good advertisement for book a bach.

Great for summer but not winter

Communication, price and location was great. But it was Freezing and took a whole day to warm up. Lounge was good- fireplace and heatpump, but bedrooms and bathroom were ice boxes- very old single glazed - condensation dripping down the windows and window sills, no flannel sheets, wooden floors in bedrooms, no heating in bathrooms or bedroom, no electric blankets, no tv and no microwave. (Would have been handy for wheat bags and baby food). Location is great and the property is spacious with a great garden and deck. Would be lovely in the summer. Beds are soft doubles, alright for one person but not ideal for a couples- roll together types.

Awesome holiday house

We really enjoyed our stay, we had a lovely time switching off for a couple of nights. Very well equipped property with great views of the mountains. Comfy beds, warm house with plenty of firewood & the convenience of a heat pump too.
