"I always stay here when I'm in Salida. It's easy to park, the room's temperature is easy to control, it feels safe, the water faucets work, breakfast is great and the grounds are delightfully decorated."

"Clean, affordable, and cozy motel that's great for short or long stays. Our room was a studio with a full kitchen (full sized refrigerator and a stove)! The room was spotless and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We did not have a single issue during our 2 night stay. And the (very clean) hot tub is open 24/7 as long as you're quiet at night. It's a 15 min walk to Riverside Park and the downtown area. There is road construction in front of the motel at the time of this review, but parking is still accessible and it seemed like the town isn't doing construction on the weekends. Could have just been postponed due to the festival going on while I was there. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone!"

"For an older motel, this one is very well-maintained, and has lots of nice touches--like the "retro" refrig and microwave, and the pretty garden outside the office, along with the gazebo where the hot tub is. But one thing surprised us--the AC/heat is in the kitchen/bath area, in a separate room from the bedroom, so we had to turn it up quite a bit to get the bedroom warmer, since it was a chilly night. Also, the shower was a walk-in, but pretty small, so we skipped it. Breakfast was good, but not organized as well as it might be--we were bumping into each other as we went between stations. And there would have been enough seating (including the front patio and back deck) if it had been a warm morning, but it was chilly, and a lot of people came in at the same time, so it was crowded. That couldn't be helped, but it would have worked better if things flowed better in the room (or maybe put up signs to show people what is at each station to keep them from wandering around to find things). But for the most part, we had an enjoyable stay."
