Wonderful home, terrific location, private dock with standup paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, and swimming. 3 generations of family, all loved the 8 day vacation.
Most amazing views with plenty of privacy. Here on a winter weekend that was warm enough to be on the huge wrap around deck. Everything was clean and plenty of space. Enjoyed the 3 days would definitely rent again.
Beautiful sunsets, great location and clean with AC. Plenty of room for 8 adults. The 6 bunk beds were not an ideal sleeping arrangement for adults, would have preferred two additional queen size beds. Still worth the amazing view!
It was a stormy few days over Thanksgiving this year, but we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in front of a crackling fire at the Duck Blind! You can't beat the location and Ian is a great communicator. It was a very good experience working with him. Planning to return in the summer.
This home is perfect for rest and relaxation. It's far away from the hustle and bustle of a busy city or neighborhood. We had plenty of laughs and the views are to die for.
Fantastic home right on the water. Plenty of space and gorgeous views. Already looking to when we can return!! Ian was attentive and responsive to all our questions.
Beautiful house, even if we werent in the water due to the temperature. Easy to get to burlington and other locations. Great kitchen with plenty of counter space to easily cook for many people
Beautiful, isolated location, with water on 3 sides, where you can sit quietly on the large outdoor deck and listen to the waves bumping into the rocks. Walk down the long driveway, along peaceful farmland, for an easy hike in the woods. And all this is not far from the great restaurants and biking in nearby Burlington.
The house is great and the location is wonderful. Tucked off a dirt road right up along the water, this spot is magical. Just a short 25 mins drive to Burlington keeps you right near the attractions. The house is clean and had everything we needed. The dock is a wonderful place to spend time in the sunshine. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I would highly recommend it.
A beautiful and spacious home with amazing sunset views over Lake Champlain. The house has a wonderful kitchen and comfy beds. We loved the screened in porch and the wrap around deck. The property is private and secluded but also close to everything we wanted to see in the area. The islands and the ferry to NY are easily accessible.
The rental experience was trouble free. Thank you, Ian for sharing your wonderful home with us.
We booked this property for a 4-night stay to allow family from all over to meet up and celebrate our graduate. The home exceeded every expectation. It is well appointed for a very comfortable stay, hosting guests, and enjoying lake activities (should the weather cooperate). The location is sufficiently remote that you wouldn’t know anyone else lived nearby — so pack your tick repellent; but, you’re still close enough to be downtown Burlington in 20/25 minutes. Our hosts provided clear instructions ahead of our arrival to ensure we met each other’s expectations. They were easy to reach via the app’s messaging platform. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience and stay. We hope to book again!
Our party of six had an amazing time watching the 2024 solar eclipse from this home. The views of the bay are breathtaking and can be enjoyed from anywhere on the expansive wrap around porch. The home is fully equipped and kid friendly. Plenty of towels, cleaning supplies and there are fun elements like a karaoke machine and chalk board wall for the kids. Also, two types of coffe markers (drip and kuerig). We are already making plans to come back. A true hidden gem!
We had a fabulous stay at Duck Blind and hope to return someday. The bay it’s on was mostly frozen (many ice skaters, wind skaters and even mountain bikers out in the ice) so we ventured out a bit which was lots of fun. The property was well furnished, everything you could need in the kitchen, games for kids and adults, comfortable, clean, and slightly bigger than we thought, which was great. While it listed as a 2 bedroom, there’s an additional bunk room in the basement which was great for the kids. I would have liked window coverings in the windows in that room , but that was the only thing I would have changed! We hope to go back next winter, but also interested in warmer weather too!
Just a beautiful place, we swam, used kayaks and paddleboards, and used the nearby basketball court and tennis court. Nice private place with so much to do!
