Brilliant place to stay near Addo Elephant Park

Absolutely loved our stay. We had 3 nights (spent one day self-driving in Addo Elephant Park and one day on a safari at a nearby private game reserve). Lovely place with really lovely and friendly staff and good food. Excellent location near the entrance to Addo Elephant Park. Highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful place to stay and explore Addo!

We spent 2 lovely nights here, in a gorgeous suite with very comfy furniture and anything one could need. Ceiling fan works really well! The private rustic outdoor shower was a highlight! Very good dinner and breakfast.The boat trip on the Sundays River is also a great experience which Christo the manager organised for us. We would definitely recommend and hope to come again!

(+) Positiv - netter Empfang der Dame zu Beginn - gute Parkplätze, eigene Fernbedienung für das Tor - gepflegter kleiner Pool - geräumiges Zimmer (-) Negativ - trotz dreimaliger Kontaktaufnahme vorab bzgl. unserer Essensvorstellungen (aus Allergiegründen vegane Ernährung erforderlich) und erneuter Thematisierung bei Ankunft wurden wir zu einem Buffet geführt, an dem es nahezu ausschließlich Fleisch und Milchprodukte gab. Aus Verlegenheit wurde uns mit Brühe versalzenes Gemüse als Alternative zur Verfügung gestellt und sich um ein sehr salziges Pie bemüht. Für das erste Frühstück gab es auch nichts adäquates. Normalerweise alles kein Problem, aber nicht wenn man mehrfach im Vorfeld in Kontakt tritt und zugesichert bekommt vegan sei kein Problem. Dennoch wurde für das "3-Gang-Menue" nahezu der Originalpreis berechnet. Bei uns bestand es aus purem Ciabatta, etwas Salat mit Essig/Öl und dem zu stark gesalzenen Gemüse - nach vorheriger Anmeldung haben wir es an unseren anderen Stops deutlich besser kennengelernt. - im Vergleich zu den anderen Gästen, wurden wir bzgl Tipps zum Addo Nationalparks auffallend außen vor gelassen - Kissen rochen nach ungewaschenen Haaren - Wasserdruck der Dusche teils schwach - bis 20:30 Uhr wurden Solarmodule montiert, nach Kontaktaufnahme der Rezeption wurde damit aber aufgehört.

掃除が行き届き、気持ちよく過ごせました。難を言うならバスタブは大きいのに出てくる湯量が少ない。星が綺麗なのに深夜まで外の灯りが消えない。せめて消灯時間をもうけてほしい。 機会が、あればまた泊まりたいです。

Ontbijt

Wij hadden dit hotel gekozen omdat het ontbijt start om 7u volgens de beschrijving,en we vroeg wilde doorrijden,bij aankomst in restaurant om 7 u was er zelfs nog geen koffie,het personeel kwam juist binnen en het ontbijt buffet moest nog klaargezet worden.wat ook niet in beschrijving stond is dat het zeer dicht gelegen is bij ingang addo olifanten park,wat heel zeker een pluspunt is

Perfekte preiswerte Anlage

Herrliche Hotelanlage mit äusserts hilfsbereiten Personal. Eine Person kann sogar perfekt deutsch. Hervorragenden Essen in sehr gemütlicher Athmospäre. Nahe zum Eingang des Addo Park. (Achtung: Eintritt Addo Park kann nicht mit Kreditkarte bezahlt werden, nur bar)

Wunderbare Athmosphäre und ausgezeichnetes Essen. An der Rezeption spricht Semione ausgeichnet deutsch. Sie hat zwei Jahre in Bayer gearbeitet. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gibt sogar eine herrlich Aussendusche.

Krazy American amazed in ZA

The Lodge is beautifully built-designed and maintained. to see such a massive Thatched hut look so perfect is amazing. there was no chipped paint, cracked items etc. the staff is always smiling and eager to please. the meals ( buffet style )are very good and plenty to go around. I was not sharing the rolls, they were to good to let go of. the honor bar is a great advantage as we made good use of its good selection. we were there after a cold front moved in, but the rooms were warm and beds even had e-blankets. there are no side noises from roads or neighbors, and the landscaping and fountain-pool attract a lot of beautiful birds. they are trying very hard to win your approval here. also it should be noted that they have contacts with all the best tours in the area and we got an award winning guide all to ourselves for 4 hrs. ADDo was great.I highly recommend this area in the winter. the animals are of better nature and seen easier against al the greenery that the rains bring. it was very lush looking and made the photography of everywhere just more stunning. also with current world financial forces we got a hotel, food and tours for 3days and two nights for what we would spend on dinner and a show in Chicago. There will always be another show, but living a few days here n SA will change your perspective forever. I have one negative, that was not of the resorts doing. the Internet is a gov agency and like all things ZA.gov, its a mess, but you will be to tired to use it
