"Our stay at Grinning Bear Lodge was absolutely perfect. The cabin itself is stunning, featuring high-end luxury accommodations and beautiful New Mexican decor that makes you feel right at home in the mountains. We were especially impressed with the kitchen; it is truly "fully stocked" with everything a cook could need.One of our favorite parts was exploring the trails right around the cabin—the hosts even provided hiking sticks, which was such a thoughtful and helpful touch! After a day of hiking, the hot tub and jetted bathtub were the ultimate way to relax. If you're looking for a peaceful, upscale getaway in Angel Fire, this is the place to be. We can't wait to come back!"

"The house is pretty nice but there were a few issues - some trash still left from the previous guests (I assume). Hot tub was not very clean and had zero chlorine. We bought a test kit ourselves and fortunately there were chemicals on site. The extra linens for the roll away and couch were old and torn. There were still used grill tools and food trash by the grill. We left a message for the manager and never got a call back. "

"We had the best time and they weren’t kidding about the beautiful view! We chose a bad season to attempt to ski in and ski out from this location though and it was a hike to and from Heading Home. It’s tough to tell if it truly would’ve been ski in/ski out with snow, but the slope was close enough to walk to. Space was nice for gathering with two families of grown ups and hand-feeding the deer each evening was a lovely bonus! It was unseasonably warm when we visited so we didn’t get to try the fireplace, but we did get to try the fans upstairs! All in all, a great visit!"
