About this property
Rest & Recharge, A-frame Cabin on Winery Grounds
This serene and rustic cabin is on the Ingleside Vineyard's property. Have a glass or two of wine and walk around the vineyards and then retreat to your own private a-frame cabin oasis. A beautiful view of the Roxsbury Estate where abundant wildlife can be viewed all around the property and the pond is stocked and ready to be fished. Within driving distance to wineries, Stratford Hall, George Washington & James Monroe's birthplace, Westmoreland State Park, and the beach town of Colonial Beach. Very private with an abundance of nature to view, and a full kitchen MINUS a oven and dishwasher, although there is a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave. There are WINDOW AC units that do an amazing job of cooling down the little cabin too. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
It is rustic and private and with any cabin in the woods we make every effort to keep pests away but sometimes things are inevitable even with pest treatment regularly.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cute and cozy cabin! It was the perfect spot for our family quiet, comfortable, and so relaxing. We were in town for the Haltech Cup Finals and ended up extending our stay because we didn’t want to leave! The host was so kind and accommodating, checking in halfway through our stay to make sure everything was going well. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back again!
This cabin was the perfect size and location for our stay. The bed was so comfortable and everything we needed was there. I really cannot wait to stay again!!
A wonderful house, off the beaten path near a sleepy beach town full of friendly people, great food and something for everyone. Beautiful views. Great accommodations. Helpful host.
enjoyed the backyard view of the pond and forest. Very peaceful and quiet. I was surprised how smooth the check-in and check-out process was. I highly recommed staying and checking out the winery!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Close to the beach and other attractions. Super comfy beds. Living, dining areas and decks super relaxing. Had the comforts of home and beats a hotel hands down. We highly recommend you check in at this cabin destination.
My partner and I just spent a weekend at this cabin and it was exactly what we needed to hit the refresh button. So quaint and cozy the views are amazing. Highly recommend this place of a little weekend away. ❤️❤️
Such a cute rustic cabin with all the comforting details in all aspects! Nothing left out! Right next door to a winery a walk away… the perfect country fall getaway! We will definitely be back! It was a delightful location!
So excited to have found such a cute little place to stay the night. It was a last minute decision and I’m thankful you allow 1 night stays.
Beautiful, clean, safe neighborhood.
We loved the location of this cabin. It was perfect for a trip to westmoreland state park and fossil beach. The winery next door has delicious wine! The home was clean and comfortable. I would go back!

The property is very cute and small but it has everything you need! The nearby beach is very peaceful and enjoyable, we loved our stay here! And there’s a Thai restaurant with a very welcoming and warm service as well! Just a few huge ants got on the bed while we were trying which is kind of terrifying, but other than that, everything is very good!
Amy was very communicative and accommodating. The home and location was beautiful and had everything we needed. While we didn't get to spend much time in the area/cabin itself, we used it as a hub for business in Washington DC. The time we spent in the cabin however was still pleasant and memorable!
My husband, dog and I stayed in this beautiful A-frame as a pit stop on the way to our vacation. We loved it so much I wish we could’ve stayed longer. My dog loved the yard and the lake and lack of people near by. I highly recommend the hibachi food truck that’s 5 minutes away. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy and all in all a relaxing weekend.
We stayed here for 2 nights. It was nice to getaway from the city. The place was clean and welcoming. They even had a Christmas tree up in the living room which was a sweet surprise. Our kids enjoyed staying here as well. Ingleside vineyards is a 5 minute walk away. Food was great at the restaurants in Colonial Beach. Would recommend if looking for a quiet weekend.
Gorgeous view of a pond with ducks and geese galore. We also saw a red tailed hawk, a flock of robins, and an owl and heard woodpeckers. Lots of frogs and peepers. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. No complaints to speak of. A really nice winery right next door.
This little cabin is a delight. It I nestled in the woods in the country next to a winery. The linens were clean as well as the cabin itself. Amy, the host, was attentive and ensured our stay was a positive experience. We loved the local park and the town of Colonial beach is quaint. This is definitely a place you can spend several days without leaving and feel completely peaceful. I highly recommend this as a place to disconnect from the world.
The property is easy to access and the house is filled with natural light from the huge windows. It’s a wonderful getaway if you want to unplug and enjoy a cozy few days of quiet. We found a waterfront Mexican restaurant nearby and walked to the winery next door. It’s very clean and the host is very responsive if you have any questions. Loved drinking coffee on the deck while enjoying the peaceful pond view. Left relaxed and refreshed!
We loved our stay! From the moment we walked in, we kept saying "this is just so cute!" The house is clean and welcoming. The view of the lake is incredible. There is a house next door, but far enough away not to be bothered by it. We ended up staying inside more than planned because of the weather, but we had everything we needed (and the view, again, didn't hurt). The second room is a lot bigger than it looks in pictures, so we may bring the kids next time! Thanks for a great stay.
I wanted a cozy retreat from DC over the holiday, and this was perfect. The dog loved running around the lot and taking walks around the vineyard. I loved the views of the pond, the eagles, and having plenty of space for puzzles, drawing, and reading. I took a speaker for tunes. No wifi but my cell worked fine, as did my hot spot. (Both are Verizon.) The king size bed is super comfortable, and I appreciated the nicer linens.Great location — 10 minutes from groceries, 15 minutes from downtown and beaches. I planned meals for the hot plate, and it was easy enough without a tradition oven/stove top. As a solo woman traveler, I felt safe. Amy is a stellar host. There was a small hiccup with checkin, and she was super helpful and more than accommodating. Go say hi to the Vineyard team, and if you like beef bourguignon, buy a bottle of the Right Bank for your next stew. It was delicious.
The cabin is very pet friendly and comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring the area and then having a quiet place to chill rather in the middle the tourist rush. This is a rustic A frame, with heat, ac, tv, great water pressure and many little treasures throughout.
