Welcome to The Black Ridge Cabin - A cozy, 600 sq ft retreat nestled into a wooded hillside in the Pikes Peak region. Perfect for couples or small families, this 2-bedroom getaway offers privacy, comfort, and charm! Unwind in the hot tub under starry skies, explore the forested hillside just out back, or curl up by the fireplace after a day of adventure.
With fast Starlink Wi-Fi, kid-friendly amenities, and a fully stocked kitchen, it's the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Whether you're hiking nearby trails, enjoying a summer BBQ on the deck, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings, your tranquil getaway in the heart of nature starts here!
Guests have full, private access to the entire 1-acre property and cozy cabin, which includes:

There is a carport attached to the cabin for parking. Additional vehicles may be parked in the dirt driveway. (Please note: no street parking is allowed.)
The beautiful Burgess Reservoir is just a 1/4-mile walk from the cabin. Guests are welcome to walk around the lake via surrounding roads; however, lake access is currently reserved for neighborhood residents only.

Other things to note

-Quiet neighborhood: This is a peaceful, residential area. No parties, loud music, or disruptive behavior. Guests must follow all neighborhood and recreation rules listed in the house manual.
-Privacy & neighbors: While the cabin feels tucked away, it is part of a neighborhood with homes nearby.
-Hot tub access: The hot tub is always available. We do our best to keep the backyard amenities (lounge area, dining) clear. They may be unavailable during snow in winter/spring.
-Security cameras: Two exterior cameras are active (front of the house and shed) for guest safety. No cameras are located near the hot tub or inside the cabin.
-Cell service: Signal may be spotty depending on your provider. Best service is typically on the front deck or in the master bedroom. Consider using this time to unplug!
-Altitude: The cabin sits at 9,200 feet. Altitude sickness can occur—please take precautions and stay hydrated.
-No campfires: Strictly prohibited due to fire risk. A gas fire pit is provided for safe outdoor use.
- Wildlife: Bears and other animals frequent the area. Please do not leave food or trash outside.
- Nighttime arrivals: Roads are dark and unpaved. For your first check-in, we recommend arriving before sunset to avoid any difficulty finding the cabin.
-Winter driving: From November to May, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is required for access. Roads and driveway may be snow-covered or icy. The neighborhood roads will be plowed if there is 6+ inches of snow.
