Not bad for the price. The indoor pool was pretty gross and the water was black..the room was clean and there’s a microwave and mini fridge. The AC unit worked but not well and it was loud.

Check in was a little weird- they had a screen with a person working remotely. The attendant on site was very helpful. Room was clean, pool was fun for the kids, beds were comfortable. A top tier affordable stay.

Hotel is under transition from a former Motel 6. Soap and some ammenities still branded as Motel 6. Rooms were clean and some renovation has clearly taken place, but a lot of the building was still somewhat run down. Check-in was via virtual desk kiosk, which was weird, but relatively easy. Hoping they continue renovation efforts to further clean up the building and improve the aesthetics. I will go back and give it another try in the future.

Five stars rated as a budget hotel. This was a Motel 6 si don't expect the JW Marriott. No amenities, minimal decorel, ... but the room was clean and cool in the summer heat, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. It was minimalist but met my needs at a good price.

The listing is confusing, as compared to the signage. My 82 Year old Mom and I arrived late from Homecoming and circled the property three time, as it has a Motel 6 outside and we were confused were this property was. We though Siri had it wrong. When we pulled up, the number on the building was on it. No coffee in your room nor Kleenex. Soap is still in Motel 6 packaging. Towels were replenished, but the bed was not made. Pool area looked very nice, but did not use it.

Nice place for the price, staff was friendly, however this is not “hotel blu”, this is a Motel 6. Was confused when I pulled in. Room itself was clean, some things were broken like the security latch on the door, but overall good value.

Virtual check in at a kiosk (think virtual banker machine at a drive through ATM) by the front desk worked fine, but when the line got longer, an enloyee appeared and checked us in. An older building, it is actually a Motel 6. It was clean and functional, recently renovated but the AC had not been upgraded-it sounded like an unbalanced washing machine when on, but in the heat wave, we were just glad it worked . Not sure why the smoke detector had a plastic bag over it, if it was malfunctioning or what. The water pressure was great, the shower was old but, again, functional. All carpets had been replaced with tile floors, which, as I was on a knee scooter, was great. All in all, a good place to stop for the night, right on the frontage road to I70 in Columbia (Como).

The couch was 6 inches off the floor so hard to sit on. The TV was very small. The was no shampoo or conditioner. The matress slide too freely on the bed. The matress was very comfortable. Water was nice and hot. Tub was very slippery.

The language barrier is the reason for my scoring. The toilet was broke and it kept running all day and night. I tried to fix it the first night and then told a couple workers the next morning, still broke when I left. The toilet seat was broken, told them within an hour of arriving. That didnt get addressed. The bathroom above the tub wall had something on it, they allow animals so I wonder if it was from one of them. The door in the bathroom was scratched up bad. One wall had water damage you could tell by the water bubbles. The TV is small compared to the room, but that didn't matter to me. If you are staying with 18 and under girls watch them like a hawk, not all guests have good intentions. Suggestion kleenex in the rooms, freezer in the mini frig would be nice, and have the walls cleaned better. There was something on multiple walls. I know it is under new management, so I want to give them grace. The pool was working.

Overall, the hotel itself was clean, and the indoor pool was well-maintained, clean, and safe to swim in. The AC worked well, and the room was comfortable enough for an overnight stay. However, my biggest concern was the hotel's use of a remote Customer Service Kiosk instead of an in-person front desk. As a Deaf traveler who relies heavily on lipreading, this system was very difficult to use. I had to communicate with a representative through a TV screen, and there were no captions available. The representative had an accent that was difficult for me to understand, and he frequently forgot to turn on the volume. Reading lips on a screen is already challenging, and without captions, it created significant communication barriers and anxiety. I had to rely on the voice-to-text captioning app on my phone to understand the conversation, which caused delays and made the check-in process much longer. In my opinion, this setup is not accessible for Deaf and Hard of Hearing guests and raises ADA accessibility concerns. The check-in experience became even more frustrating when I was assigned a room that had not been cleaned or prepared. The bed was unmade, and the room was clearly not ready for occupancy. I had to return to the kiosk, explain the issue, wait while the representative contacted hotel staff, and then receive a second room assignment. Fortunately, the second room was clean and ready. My wife and I had a really pleasant stay at the hotel. The highlight of our stay was the service of the staff, which was excellent! There was daily room service, which was a welcome surprise! The hotel was close to the major commercial spots of Columbia too. The only issue we had was the initial confusion about the name of the hotel as we saw Motel 06 everywhere. They are in a transitional phase and everything carries the old logo and the name. We were a bit hesitant to use the Check-in kiosk but that was no trouble at all. We will definitely stay at Hotel Blu again!

It was fine for the money. It was clean, safe, comfortable enough. No breakfast (which I understood). A few annoyances. This is a Super 8, so it was a little confusing to look for Hotel Blu and pull into a Super 8. There is a virtual check-in, which is fine, except when an employee is carrying on a loud conversation with others a few feet from you. No facial tissues (so used a lot of toilet paper for my runny nose). The toilet flapper didn't seat correctly, so I had to manually set it every time to stop the toilet from running.

Transitioning from Motel 6 to Hotel Blu but much better than a Motel 6. Staff was helping and flexible when I asked for late check-out then ended up leaving in time, they didn’t charge me.
