Run aground on this beach is a fishing boat. Abandoned and allowed to rot away. The fact that the image can have the UK's tallest mountain in the background makes it special. I'd prefer snow on the top so will return later in the year.
This is an iconic image of Scotland. It will appear in any Scottish photography book or usually on any Scottish calendar. This wreck broke from its mooring in 2011 and ran aground and has been there ever since. So pleased I finally managed to take my own version of this iconic image. That is also Ben Nevis in the background and I have rarely seen it so free of clouds😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Took this trip in late November, when days are rainy, gloomy, and short, but the experience was one of a kind. Strolling through the forest I was amazed at how green everything was, all covered in moss and ferns, almost like a fairy tale. I would definitely visit it again any time of the year.

The lower locks of Neptune's Staircase, a series of eight locks on the Caledonian Canal enabling the waterway to negotiate the 20 metre difference in elevation from Loch Lochy to Loch Linnhe. The vast array of boats through here means there is always a good subject for photographers.
