Great staff who made our stay extra special with their kindness and servicemind. The hotel is very conceniwntly located to explore Barh and Witshire in a quiet setting. Great variety of food and very deliciois one too.
Good place to stay when seeing friends.
Nice rooms but very close to the train line so be prepared to be woken up in the night!
Not many toiletries and no milk for coffee/tea or biscuits which I would expect for the price of the rooms
Excellent stay at this beautiful accommodation. The rooms are in the different building than the main house in the pictures. Very idyllic both. Car park available easily. Good food and great service. Eaay access to Bath with car. Around 15min drive. Bed waa comfortable and room was spacious and clean.

The hotel is located about 5 miles from Bath. It’s very clean, comfortable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options to choose from.
The only downside was our first room near the Trainline where trains passed until around 11 p.m and started again at 6 a.m., which affected our sleep. However, the staff handled the situation very professionally and promptly moved us to a lovely, quiet room within the hotel. Their quick and courteous response made a big difference to our stay.
What a great place, well appointed en-suite, service 2nd to none, has all you'll need including an iron.
Quirky place, easy parking, bar, gardens and well priced
We had the deluxe room and it was fantastic, the bathroom was massive with a great shower and a bath. The bed was large comfortable. As well as tea there was a French press with Illy coffee supplied and also a good de-cafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A lovely place to stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The bedroom door kept making a noise, guests moving around upstairs was noisy and unfortunately the bed and pillows were not very good. The staff were friendly and no issues there, just the room was an issue
Very comfortable, spotless bedroom. Great decor, felt far more expensive than it was. The service was faultless and the food was exceptional. I will look to stay here in future.

Overnight
Pleasant stay in a smallish room that could do with a renovation and a new carpet that is currently stained, though the en-suite is a decent size and in decent condition. The staff are excellent and the food good and substantial.
Nice warm and clean room called Ashley.
Comfy bed and nice touches like a jar with fresh baked cookies with the tea and coffee.
Only issue was the Bathroom light was on a sensor which meant it went out when you were in the bath shower or on the toilet.
Very good breakfast and evening meals although a bit limited in the number of meal choices. This meant we only ate on one evening as we did not fancy the other things on the menu

The staff were great. The recently renovated room is looking a bit rough with chipped paint, loose fittings and unfinished tile work. The rooms are a separate building from the pub, so we expected quiet away from the busy road. However, the train going by so close certainly isn't something I would want to deal with again. Trains start about 5 am and finish around midnight. It's a good central location, but not very restful
My wife and I (both in our 70’s) checked in at about 5 pm on a Sunday and showed to the room, we were booked on for one night and initially I thought this is a lovely place and really well presented.
We went down to the bar to check the food menu and was told that there was no food being served and the bar was closing at 8 pm. There was no mention of this when we booked 3 weeks earlier.
On returning to the room we noticed that the heating had gone off, it probably went off the same time the bar closed and it was now heading for 10pm and the room was getting really cold, I looked for a thermostat or some form of addition heating but nothing. So we went to bed I looked for any addition blankets but there wasn’t, I ended up sleeping with my jumper on and my socks.
We had to checkout early (8:30am) and I think that the heating had just come on.
My wife had a whinge to Sophie (she is really nice, friendly and helpful person) she did listen and understood how we felt.
I think we paid £112.00 for staying there one night, I think I would have paid an extra tenner to cover the heating cost.
