Clean motel in Corsicana off I-45

Affordable no frill motel in Corsicana. Renovated rooms were clean, staff friendly, was quiet even though close to the highway. Shopping and restaurants close by.

The room we stayed in was not very clean. There looked like there had been water damage and when we got into our room it smelt musky/moldy. The room was also wet, there was a layer of dampness the entire time we were there. When we woke up our clothes would be wet, the sheets and pillows were wet, the floors were wet, everything was wet. I’ve never seen that anywhere I’ve stayed even in really humid places. The pool room area did not have any A/C or fans going so it was really hot in there, and the bathroom next to the pool was also broken. The staff was nice but the motel owner just needs to improve the facility.

The hotel was clean and neat, the cleaning ladies should knock before entering a room. They also came in our room every time we left . I took my valuables every time!

Run. Run far.

Disgusting. Dirty. Smelly. Cigarette burns in sheets. Long black balls of hair on floor and in sheets. Cobwebs. Dead bugs. One of the beds had a huge depression and couldn’t be slept on. I could go on and on.

This hotel is in a perfect spot - close to many food and gas choices - plus close to important roads. Sadly, there is not enough maintenance or there was shoddy maintenance. The ceiling is falling down over the pool. There was mold growing in the sink/bathroom area as well as ugly water stains. Plaster and paint repairs looked amateur. Several plugs did not work. The TV was an unbelievable micro-size. This location should invest some time improving the appearance of their hotel - maybe room by room. Unfortunately, I will be frequenting the area but not staying here again even though the rate is reasonable. I will say the front desk person and the housekeepers do well considering what they have to work with.
