"Good size of double room with extra single bed. Excellent view of the harbour. During the heatwave (26C) the lack of aircon was a downside.
Friendly welcome from Christine on Reception.
Good choice of hot or continental breakfast. The dinner was good but not great.

"My wife and I had a tremendous weekend in Donegal Town.
The Abbey Hotel was a perfect base with the square right out front of the Hotel. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed.
We were there to see Onoir, but the hotel also had live Irish music playing in afternoon and evening. It was great.
But the real star is the Hotel porter, Patrick.
He could not have done anymore for us, always stopped to chat and ask if we needed anything. My wife was feeling the heat, Patrick went out his way to...
