Grand Lodge Crested Butte | Renovated Studio, Walk to Lifts, Pool & Hot Tub

A renovated studio in the Grand Lodge — a short walk to the Crested Butte lifts, with a cook-in kitchenette. Sleeps 4.

✔ Newly renovated with quality furnishings

✔ King bed plus a brand-new king pull-out sofa, full bath

✔ Cook-in kitchenette: stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher

✔ Indoor and outdoor heated pools plus a hot tub

✔ Keypad self check-in, free parking

♡ "very clean and nicely updated" — Cindy, May '26

» 2 min walk to the lifts » 7 min to Elk Avenue » 45 min to GUC airport

    The Space:

A recently renovated studio on the 3rd floor of the Grand Lodge at the base of Mt. Crested Butte — updated throughout with quality furnishings and thoughtful touches.

➔ Sleeping: A king bed, plus a brand-new king pull-out sofa, so four sleep comfortably in one open, updated room.

➔ Kitchenette: Stove, mini fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and cookware — fully stocked for cooking simple meals in.

➔ Bathroom: One full, freshly updated bathroom.

➔ Touches: Smart TV for your own apps, quality linens, and extras like soft blankets and a drip + single-cup coffee maker.

➔ Building Amenities: Indoor and outdoor heated pools, hot tub, gym, elevator, and a lobby with a fireplace.

    3 Pros:

✔ One of the most updated studios in the building — clean, updated, and well-appointed

✔ A short walk to the lifts, with indoor and outdoor heated pools and a hot tub

✔ A cook-in kitchenette and the free town shuttle steps away

    2 Cons:

✗ It's a studio — open and efficient, not built for large groups

✗ The unit is renovated, but the Grand Lodge (built 1999) has dated common areas; no A/C and no in-unit washer/dryer

    Guest Access:

You have the entire studio to yourself, plus full access to the Grand Lodge's shared amenities: the indoor and outdoor heated pools, hot tub, gym, and fireplace lobby. There's an elevator to the 3rd floor. Check in yourself anytime with the keypad code — there's no front desk at the Grand Lodge, but we respond quickly by message. Your unit comes with free parking. Shared amenities are operated by the building's HOA and can occasionally close for maintenance.

    The Neighborhood:

The Grand Lodge sits at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, a short walk from the Crested Butte Mountain Resort lifts, with shops and dining right at the Red Lady Express base and the free town shuttle stopping steps away (it runs to town about every 15 minutes). Summer trails leave from the base, and a convenience store and coffee are close by. Historic downtown Crested Butte and its Elk Avenue — galleries, restaurants, and preserved Old West architecture — are about a seven-minute drive. The area is a year-round outdoor base: skiing and snowshoeing in winter; hiking, mountain biking, rafting, and wildflower season in summer. The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 45-minute drive.

    Getting Around:

You don't need a car here — the lifts, shops, dining, and a convenience store are all within a short walk, and the free town shuttle stops steps from the door (about every 15 minutes to historic downtown Crested Butte, roughly 7 minutes away). If you do drive, your unit comes with free parking. The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 45-minute drive; Denver is roughly 4 hours.

    Other Things to Note:

    - License #: 315164

    - Check-in after 4:00 PM / checkout before 10:00 AM, keypad self check-in.

    - Sleeps 4: 1 king bed + 1 brand-new king pull-out sofa in an open studio layout.

    - Not pet friendly.

    - No A/C and no in-unit washer/dryer (coin laundry is in the building). Kitchenette has a stove, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker.

    - Pools, hot tub, and gym are run by the building's HOA and can close for maintenance without notice.

    - The unit is renovated; the Grand Lodge is a 3-star building (built 1999) with dated common areas.

    - CO and smoke alarms and a fire extinguisher are installed.

    Interaction with Guests:

Check-in is self-serve with your keypad code, so you can arrive on your own schedule — no front desk to coordinate with. We're a message away before and during your stay and reply quickly (guests regularly mention how responsive and helpful our host Erin is). Want local trail, lift, or restaurant recommendations? Great Location

The building is steps from the main base and multiple lifts. There is a nice shuttle back and forth from the base to the "city" area. The unit was clean and has nice Murphy bed that worked well.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo had everything we needed. One confusing thing was the road name and the gates to control one way traffic. July is awesome time to visit for the wildflowers.
