I liked that it was walking distance to the beach and airport. I disliked that the pool closed at 6pm. I disliked that there was a towel and no washcloth I disliked that the was a coffee machine, with no filter and didn't work I disliked that there was a frying pan that was broken so you couldn't really use it. I disliked that the matches given to use to light the stove broke apart the minute you struck it against the box. I disliked that there was no microwave and they wanted to charge you

When we arrived at the hotel it was like they weren’t expecting the second half of our party (4 of us. 2 rooms reserved on the same booking). When that was finally settled and it was time to sleep it was a zoo. Room one had banging or something happening on the ceiling as if someone was fighting. Sounded like it was going to come through the ceiling at one point. Room two had water rushing from somewhere all night like a waterfall. I’m sorry but even if I was offered to come back for free I would NEVER!!! Only positive was the boys had a good time at the pool.

It is situated within walking distance of the airport, a safe beach, shops and restaurants in literally five minutes. It is a quaint old facility but really excellent as it is all on one level. If you don’t like climbing stairs or injured with a walking impediment , it caters to these needs. My one night was well spent.

Very good value for money. Rooms spotlessly clean . Owner, Michael, very helpful with advice and recommendations.Restaurants, bars , airport, Store Bay all within easy walking distance.

I really like the proxity to the airport. The rooms look beautiful on website. The staff was warm and friendly. The property needs some upgrading. The price per night needs to at least include some breakfast. Getting into the bathroom is a challenge for senior citizen - you have a high step up to get into the tub to take a shower; no handrails. There is a step down to get into the room. You must be physically able to walk and get in and out of the room not wheelchair accessible.

A brief stay at Golden Thistle

Was perfect for me as I was looking for a good no frills room in walking distance to airport, beach, and restaurants. The pool was a notable extra. First day had some mosquitoes (rainy season had just started) but a good spray dealt with that. All in all worth the price for a 4 night stay.

The location was great - an easy walk to beach food and airport Owners were extremely helpful to us. All rooms had kitchenette and covered patio with table and chairs. Older hotel but comfortable. I enjoyed having a pool . I would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends

The staff was excellent, friendly, and prompt. The facility is in need of updating, the room needs updated refrigerator, fixtures, bathroom.. need a microwave.

Great clean pool. Checked us in early. Gokd breakfast. Arranged a car for us cheaper than we could get elsewhere and gave us directions around the island. Real friendly staff. The property is on the old side, clean and friendly. For the money it is excellant value. 5 min Walk from the airport. Closeto the bars and a 30min walk from pigeon point. Would reccomend it . We stayed for 6 nights.

Arrived at 8pm, room was still not ready. Hotel needs upgrading. Only stay if it's a last resort. Clean rooms, but very outdated. Uncomfortable beds.

Great location, great value

Spent two nights at the Golden Thistle. Great location to crown point and the airport. Room was clean and staff we're friendly. Within a short distance to pigeon point, but in a little quiter neighbood which is what we were looking for. Used it as a starting point before travelling the rest of the island.

Enkelt hotell med en mycket trevlig ägare.

Anlände tidigt, och fick checka in före utsatt tid. Ägaren var vänlig att skjutsa mig till stranden Pigeon point och hämta mig igen senare. På vägen fick jag en liten guidning i Crown Point. Till frukosten hade vi ett intressant samtal om Tobagos historia och framtid. En mycket givande vistelse utöver själva rummet alltså!
