“Highlands Mountaintop Getaway”

"We had a fantastic time staying at the cabin and visiting Highlands, the cabin was spacious and clean and had a beautiful view right off the back porch where we spent every night. There's also a hot tub that we didn't use, but it would be incredible to stay in winter (we may go back very soon!) Overall, the place was great.Prior to my arrival, I asked the host if she had any recommendations on hikes that I could propose to my girlfriend on and she gave us a great recommendation that I ended up using, and she said yes! It was perfect.Something else that stuck out to me - due to the VRBO app being inaccessible at the time, and due to the distance we had to travel on a Friday, I was unable to get the check-in information on time and didn't arrive until 10pm. I had to call the host to get access, and she was incredibly kind and helpful despite my reluctance to call so late. After that, the VRBO app came back up and she was extremely attentive to us and helpful.Amazing host, amazing trip, and amazing place to stay."

"The cabin was perfect for our needs! It's an idyllic setting - you feel like you're in a tree house in a rainforest (because you actually are). It's a beautiful neighborhood to walk and enjoy. The cabin is well appointed and easy to live in."

"We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely love to come back.The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. One of our favorite parts was sitting by the fire on the porch each evening while listening to the beautiful creek right outside our door. Waking up to the sound of the water and hearing it again at night was incredibly peaceful. The lightning bugs in the evenings made everything feel almost magical.We were even lucky enough to see baby otters near the mill wall! The wildlife, creek, and peaceful surroundings made this a nature lover's dream. 簾The property is very private, quiet, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature. We brought our fur babies with us, and they loved the area. There was plenty of room for them to run and play. We kept them in the Stone House as requested and had no issues at all.The main house is absolutely lovely and full of charm. The internet was a little spotty at times, but our host was amazing and quickly brought us a hotspot to use, which we greatly appreciated. Her responsiveness and hospitality made our stay even better.Overall, this was exactly the peaceful retreat we needed. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future. "We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and equiped with everything you needed. Check in and out process was perfect and it was great not being right on the main road. The only issue was the TV in the living room kept turning on and off by itself. We weren't able to watch anything for any length of time. "

"Comfortable, roomy, and absolutely spotless cabin. Very well appointed. A little out of the way and recommend an All-wheel-drive to access the front door, or, use lower, easily accessed secondary parking and walk your luggage up ten steps. Photos on-line are accurate as of April 12, 2026. Decent cell signal, good WiFi, healthy HVAC system. Quiet neighborhood and just far enough off of highway 28 to miss the noise. NOTE: stepped entrance should be considered when handicapped persons are reserving."

"This place is a little slice of heaven! We loved everything about it! The view is amazing, we watched beautiful sunsets every night. It is so quiet and peaceful. The place is very clean and comfortable and fully stocked. Great location, just a short drive in to town and to the falls. We would definitely love to go back!"
