I arrived at the property just after 12noon, I was told ‘check in is after 1, can you please wait over there’ I can’t remember the last time I could not check in early (See my trip adviser review on Surat Marriott). No exploration or sorry sir the room is not ready. I decided to go and have a drink at the pool/restaurant bar- sorry sir the bar is not open until 12.30. ? What bar is not open at 12noon? Walked into the restaurant one lunch time, nobody in there and with what seemed like the manager swearing very loudly at one of the staff, he saw me standing there and just carried on. No wonder most of the staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there, except for Rudra the bar man who was excellent always jolly and happy to have a chat if he wasn’t busy. The rooms were good size, comfy beds, good showers. They only had 4 sun beds next to the pool. The place was looking worn down. Would not stay here again!

Stuff is very kind and the room is big and clean, but the hotel is quite poor, no beach... , poor kitchen (for the area is normal ) I’m not sure there are better hotels in the area, but this is not Taj,Hilton, Sangrila.. level. Overall is OK but not more than that.. 4 stars -

Manager was very rude and stay was uncomfortable

Not worth for family or friends gateway as staff was very rude, even though hotel was entirely empty, we wanted due to 1 year old kid just 1 hour late checkout but manager was rude and lied that hotel is packed and did not even understand delicacy of family

Besides the restaurant and hotel in-room dining staff, the service there is terrible. To get a hand towel or even getting an iron is a nightmare! The beach was a disappointment too

Person who checked me in was not helpful

This hotel is in a resort area right next to the water. I was there for business so I did not have a chance to do much at all. The restaurant service was good and waiters were very helpful. The room was good size and clean. The only complaint I have was with the check in process, which was super slow. It probably had to do with that particular person who checked me in. He did not seem to be smart enough for that position. He even refused to give me more than one password for the wifi when I was willing to pay for more wifi passwords (each password was good for only one device and the room rate included one free passcode).
