While the hotel holds a prime location right in the center of everything, it unfortunately fails to live up to the Hilton brand’s reputation due to its apparent lack of maintenance and care.
From the moment we checked in, it was evident that the hotel is showing its age. Almost every room our party occupied encountered issues. We had broken faucets while showering, water that would not drain in bathtubs, peeling wallpaper, and unsightly mold spots above door frames. The beds were old and creaked uncomfortably with even the slightest movement.
During dinner one evening when a storm rolled in, water suddenly gushed out from a ceiling tile right behind our table.
Moreover, we encountered significant logistical issues, particularly with the elevators. Only one out of the four elevators in the south tower was operational, which led to long waits—often exceeding 30 minutes—as we tried to make our way to and from our rooms on the ninth floor.
While I must acknowledge that the staff was empathetic, it felt as though they were accustomed to hearing complaints, and this did little to alleviate our disappointment.
Despite the hotel's prime location, the maintenance issues and overall lack of upkeep overshadowed any positive aspects of our stay. My family and I left feeling very disheartened, and we cannot recommend this property to others. Given our experience, it is clear that we will not be returning to the Hilton Oceanfront Hotel.
