"Overall, we had a good stay. Communication was great and check-in / check-out was very easy. Though we found the listing to be accurate and the room looked like the photos, there are a few things we found to be a bit below our expectations. First, the neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges. The house itself and the ones next door seem to be well-maintained and as you travel up the street to the north it's a nice residential area, but if you approach the house from the south or from the west, the neighborhood is very rough. Note that we never felt unsafe, but first impressions were a bit uneasy. Second, the floors are very creaky and if you have anyone in the apartment above you, you will definitely hear them walking around and dropping things. Our upstairs neighbor went to bed later than we did so going to sleep was a challenge each night. Third, while having a laundry available was a big help and appreciated, it should be noted that it's not inside the unit, but rather through a different door next to the parking lot.We should also note the plusses. Again, having laundry available was import to us and appreciated. Having air conditioning, also a necessity and it worked well. We didn't use the kitchen very much, but it seemed to have everything that you would need. And the biggest thing we appreciated was the supply of bottled water that was in the fridge!"

"Charming building. Loved the staircase. Comfy bed. A little rough in bathroom. No place to hang towels to dry for next day. Water pressure great. Breakfast nook a little strange. Silverware just sitting on table uncovered, chipped saucer on display? Loved the tea kettle. Overall, good . Unfortunately that a huge fly and gnats got into the room."

"Very nice private studio apartment/ B&B in Newburg, NY. The host was very responsive to any questions and concerns we had and it was a relaxing stay for us. There was a lot of extra sheets, blankets and pillows and a washer & dryer too."

"We found the apartment lovely and spacious, a great place to rest and refresh while attending events at West Point over 3 days. Had immediate communication with hosts during our stay. Not sure I saw in the listing that it was 3rd floor with stair access and that laundry was not individual to apartment, also no photos of bedroom in listing but host shared upon request. It was much nicer and bigger than pictured. Wish we could’ve spent more time there. A very nice stay!"
