Apart from cleanliness and courteous staff, I would like to highlight the personal touch demonstrated by each staff member. Things like wrapping my phone charging coil with a velcro tape, placing the clock on the side of the bed I was sleeping on. This was my second time at this hotel, being a solo traveler and a long-staying guest the previous trip, I felt at home, safe and secure at the Taj Palce.

Everything was just fantastic. Right from the moment we stepped out of the car we were greeted with very friendly people who were very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the calm and relaxed atmosphere and about the whole place. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with all the amenities provided in the bathrooms. We had the club rooms. Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities

Taj Palace is absolutely lovely at first sight, and the front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. That initial impression was great. Unfortunately, our room experience didn’t live up to the standard we expected. We were staying on Level 1, and there was a noticeable unpleasant smell as soon as you entered the floor. It was clear the hotel was aware of it, as a lot of air freshener had been used, but sadly that only made things worse. The strong scent gave us headaches. We did inform the staff, but nothing really changed. We stayed for three nights, and overall it wasn’t a comfortable experience. We were told the issue would be investigated, but there was no real follow-up during our stay. We’re not expecting anything in return—this is just feedback for future guests. For first-time visitors, especially after a long 16-hour flight and paying a premium to stay at a Taj property, this experience was quite disappointing and did put us off with the stay.

Older hotel but it’s classy and very well kept. Restaurants are very good and outside pool is large and clean

Taj was a whole experience like no other place and was top notch from the time we arrived until checking out but didn’t get to stay through the whole stay to get the full benefits of our booking as we had to checkout early. Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and authentic Indian food served at the restaurant that we ate at during our stay.
