We had reception trouble with the app that would allow us entry, ending up driving back down the mountain about 3 miles until we could access the 2 step authentication required for the app the hosts use. We drove as fast as we could back up, hoping the authentication wouldn’t expire , and we were lucky. Communication with hosts during this time was not possible. Later, I heard that they were on a flight. Views from the big windows were stunning, and accommodations were mostly comfortable. Be aware that the half bathroom is a partially completed laundry room. Downstairs TV was not functional, for whatever reason. Body wash bottle in the single shower was empty. Beautiful spot but not quite as idyllic as advertised. Not that anywhere is!
The drive back to the cabin was long, but we enjoyed it and saw deer along the way. In the morning, we saw deer in the yard. Cabin was cute, as described. I loved the bath towels and the bed was comfy.

The cabin was gorgeous and everything i was wanting when booking. MAKE SURE TO THOROUGHLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS TO GET INTO THE PROPERTY. The host primarily communicates through vrbo but was extremely helpful
Beautiful Views. Very private - about 30 minutes from town but pretty drive . Recommend suv/truck for driveway . Clean , Cute & we loved the deck . Owner was easily accessible. Please download the check in door app prior to arriving - no cell service while we were there - but they do have wifi . Overall, great stay !
We used the property as it was close to Pikes Peak Ranch where we attended a family wedding. The beds were super comfortable and the pictures showed were accurate. I personally botched the entry process (not the owners fault at all, we thank them SO much for your patience and understanding!). The owner was prompt and helpful to rectify this. Note that the 1/2 bath was a toilet in a utility/laundry room so really just 1 bathroom to share w 4 of us. Appreciate the use of the home!
We enjoyed everything about our stay! The location was breathtaking and so peaceful. We particularly enjoyed that the property leads right in to Pike National Forest. It made for amazing off path hiking right out our back door. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a great getaway.
The property is Awesome! Well insulated and comfortable. Hiking literally right out of the back door. They have a cleaning crew that really dropped the ball. Kitchen counters were dirty and a window shade was missing. No fault of the Owners, they have a crew to clean. The house and the area are Amazing, You are actually in a National Forest! We really enjoyed our visit. Thanks

This property is a real gem. My husband and I wanted seclusion, this fit the bill. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here 6 nights. Be advised that it's a 40 minute drive for groceries, gas, supplies... It's an absolutely beautiful location in the national forest. We loved hiking right out the back door to Turkey Rock. Very quiet and peaceful with incredible views. The balcony was our favorite place to hang out for grilling, sitting quietly, with hummingbirds visiting. Never saw any other wildlife surprisingly. Nevertheless, it's important to keep everything clean and locked down because there are bears, cougars, etc... somewhere I'm sure. The kitchen was well stocked with nice appliances and all dishes and utensils needed. Important since there are no restaurants, and you must cook for yourself. We never saw any bugs in the house. Sleeping situation was disappointing, but livable. Upstairs queen bed was fine. Master with a king bed was in lower level which is more like an exposed basement. It smelled musty, king bed was in terrible shape. Lopsided, no support. So we could not use the lower level. No cell service (which we knew), WiFi was not always reliable (checking in for flight was a problem). Many window screens need to be fixed. 4 wheel drive is almost a necessity for driveway, but no matter bc we had a Bronco. Lots of fun off-roading in the area! Perfect place for nature lovers wanting isolation and semi-unplugged living, in the comfort of a home.
Our stay at the chalet was nice. It is just as described. The kitchen is stocked well with all cooking essentials. The view from the deck is amazing and yes you can hike right out the back door. Do be aware that it is tucked in the mountains so it is not just a hop skip and jump to the store. I would stay again. Also The host/hostess were very responsive so if you need anything they reply quickly. Thank you for sharing your chalet with us.
