Vintage Cabin on Beautiful Lake O'brien - Includes Pontoon Boat

"We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the years and this definitely makes it into our top 10! So many neat touches in both cabins and the screened porch was a gem. Everything was in great condition and the pontoon was an added bonus. Easy drive into town and several restaurants relatively close by. If you are looking for an authentic lake vacation you can't go wrong with this cabin! We even had a visit from some local wildlife that added a little excitement to the trip!"

"Room was very clean and newly remodeled. Bed was very comfortable Owner was available by phone and also on the property a lot of the time. We were very pleased with this property and will stay again. No amenities on property really. Although rooms had coffee machines, shampoo and conditioner and very nice soap. Working refrigerators (new) and small freezer. Stores and restaurants close by."

"This is an older property that hasn’t been updated in a long time but it is still in really good shape. The beds were very comfy, the rooms were quiet and the room was clean. The shared areas could have done with a vacuum, but they weren’t bad. Staff was super friendly and it felt very safe. Hot tub was out of order. Pool was warm. Very bare bones continental breakfast, but it’s better than nothing. Parking was great. We got a spot right in front of the front door every time. We actually really enjoyed our stay."

"The hotel and room was very clean. The staff accommodated me to have first floor room. I do wish hotels would use taller toilets. Also pillows were way to soft but made do with more. The only thing that really turned me off was as a 20 year old calling me honey. I’m not a honey and they do not call men that. I would stay again."

"Pool was closed, reserved a room with a jacuzzi tub but there wasn’t enough hot water to have a bath. Our bed only had a sheet on it when we got there and it was almost 10 pm, and about 5 times of us asking for a comforter, before we were able to use our bed. There was a dog (belonged to the only person who appeared to be running the whole hotel) that was chained outside the door and there was a bunch of poop from it out in the grass making it very stinky. Didn’t appear to be anything ready for breakfast after the time that the continental breakfast started. Room was even still dark. I could clearly hear the tv in the next room and could even hear when people were urinating next door. We would never stay here again. Felt bad for the guy running the place. Seemed like a nice guy but they need way more staff to keep up with the whole place."

"Matt and Renae were 110% wonderful hosts!! Communication before and during the stay was second to none. The home was absolutely dreamy. The beds ands linens were super nice and comfy. The outside fire pit and view of the lake were spectacular. Having the beautiful pontoon boat was an added bonus. I certainly hope to be back and I easily give Matt and Renae my highest recommendation."

"We had the most wonderful stay! The cabin is clean, comfortable, and has incredible outdoor space. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils which made cooking so much easier. The cabin is in a beautiful area and was exactly the peaceful retreat we were hoping for."
