Their breakfast is soooo good! I was really impressed. I thought there might be fruit and bagels, but they had sausage gravy and biscuits, a waffle maker, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, juices, milk, coffee! It was fantastic! Plus the price was great. Total BARGAIN and easy to get everywhere in DesMoines.

Dirty and cheap. You will hear everything through the walls and gap in the door. No hot tub. Food left in refrigerator from who knows when. Floors were dirty. Only reason I didn’t give one star was because the shower was good for washing the grimy feeling off.

Terrible place to stay would drive 20 miles out of the way to avoid it. Dirty rooms hot tub covered by plywood and my 7 year old cut her foot on something in the pool. Comforter stained bad enough my 11 year old would not use it.

The sheets and blankets were all stained floors were not clean. Pool was ok. Weren’t there long. Breakfast was alright. Maid was nice. There was bug looking eggs in bed.

I asked the desk to make the safe in my room accessible, never happened. The hair dryer did not work due to the outlet it was plugged into not resetting the gfi not possible. There was an ironing board but no iron. They had a ridiculous rule you can't take what lack luster offerings they had for breakfast to your guest room. By lack luster i mean old apples, orange juice machine empty, no bagels, donuts, just 2 basic dry cereal options or a waffle machine. Checking in was a nightmare. People were slamming doors constantly throughout the night. The room was clean and looks like they were painting the interior of the place. This was a one and done for me.

Paint and plaster badly chipped and cracked in lobby and hallways. Ice machine on our floor wasn’t working. Entire hotel smelled like weed. The room itself wasn’t too bad. It was clean and everything worked as it should.

The building is being remodeled so things are a bit disheveled. My chief dislike involved noise. My room was faced the street and road noise required running the fan continuously to blot it out. There was also something going on above me that resulted in many thumps and bumps starting at 10:30pm and lasting until after 12:30am. The night manager was ineffective in dealing with it.

The hallway was being painted. The pool is in poor condition. The hot tub pictured is not available at all. Not sure how they possibly host people for the Iowa State fair, their breakfast dining area is only made for 12 people. The sheets were stained. Pictures online are not a match to what we experienced. It made due for 1 night but seemed like we have had better experiences before spending $100 on a room before.

First impression was not great. It had been a week since a big snowstorm, and the parking lot was a disaster. Where were the plows?! I almost slid into 3 cars because no one had plowed in nearly a week! Then, it took me forever to get checked in, which gave me plenty of time to look around the dingy lobby and start getting a bad vibe. Once I finally got to my room, I was immediately greeted by the unmistakable pungent odor of wet dog. So, I immediately took out my phone and found another hotel and left without staying another minute.
