Beach Front Condo

This lovely, direct beachfront condo has 2 bedrooms and is on the 6th floor. The entire unit has been refurnished and professionally decorated in a tasteful beach theme designed to maximize the ambiance of the incredible beach view. TVs in each bedroom and living room. Master bedroom has a king bed with a new pillow-top mattress with memory foam. The second bedroom has a full bed with a soft pillow-top Sealy-Posturepedic mattress. The living room includes a Queen sleeper sofa, bringing the sleeping capacity to 4. The master bath features a whirlpool tub and shower. The second bathroom has a porcelain tub and shower. Other amenities include a washer/dryer and free WiFi. Of course, the best amenity is the magnificent gulf view. NO SMOKING, NO PETS.

Easy, restful, paradise

The location is perfect. Easy drive to all the interesting and fun restaurants. The well designed condo feels like home right away. The beach is right off of the balcony where we watched dophins swimming by. The pool was never crowded and the beach breeze was incredible. The soft white sand never got hot. I wanted to keep walking in it. It seemed to pull the toxins and stress out of my body. I would love to stay in this most peaceful and breathtaking place forever!

Our Stay

Other than the check-in, the trip was overall a good time. The property needs some maintenance. One of the only 2 elevators was not working on Friday when we arrived. The man that checked us in was rude and not helpful at all. Told us there was someone on the way to fix the elevator. Needless to say, It was still broken when we left. The other guy told us that this is the worst place to stay and that they never take care of anything. (all this upon trying to check in). Later, meeting some other owners there, we were also told the same thing.

Can’t beat location

Perfect space for a small family. The location was perfect as we didn’t have far to tote our belongings. Host was great and easy to get in touch with. Resort itself is a bit strict (no personal umbrellas or beach tents, no drinks within 4 feet of pool.

Decent but listing page needs more info

The condo was decent but the listing did not mention anything about having to pay $65 for parking and pool passes. Also there’s no mention of having to pay for chairs and umbrellas. Please update the listing for future guests.

Uninformed Construction

Pool and hot tub were out of service the entire week. Consturction crews and equipment were working at the buildingg and we were never informed they would be there during our reservation process.. We did love the beach and the people were very friendly.

Brief winter stay

The unit has direct view to the amazing ocean. Due to the units location it is very noisy to sleep at night due to the LOUD traffic noise. The second bedroom is very tight, no place for suitcase as there is no closet. More maintenance oversight needed, burned out light bulbs, clogged vacuum, and receptacles would not hold a electric plug.

Nice condo

We really enjoyed our stay here! We did have the inconvenience of arriving in Florida after booking the condo months in advance only to find out you have to be 25+ years old to stay in this condo, although being listed at 18+ for renting. This did put us in a panic and we had worries we would have no where to stay. The owner was very good with communication and helping us as much as she could. The condo itself was very nice with a beautiful view of the beach. The TV was broken and there was a hole in the master bedroom closet. The owner was aware of these damages and they were still left unattended. The master bed did have a large amount of sand in the sheets that was there before our arrival. We enjoyed our stay but there were many inconveniences that we came across.

Absolutely wonderful Condo and so much more

I have nothing but good things to say about this condo. Owner - The owner was easy to work with and extremely responsive. Any questions I had were answered within minutes. This was very comforting and reassured me I would not have any issues during the stay. Unit- The unit was very clean. Exactly as advertised in the description and pictures. My family of 4 fit perfectly in the unit and had plenty of space. The condo being on the six floor was never a problem. We were able to get the elevator up/down with never really waiting at all. The balcony view is worth the price of admission. We spent many mornings and evenings enjoying the view and spotting dolphins swimming the shoreline multiple mornings. Property - Sterling Sands as a property was the icing on the cake. Everything was well maintained and clean. The pool/hot tub was really nice and big. Allowed for our kids to spend time there when we had our fill of the beach. Being able to access the beach was extremely easy and convenient (two different walkways). Just steps away from the pool area and there are hoses for use that make cleaning off all the collected sand very convenient. The availability of 3 separate gas grills was nice too. We did not use them but say it being used quite a bit. My wife used the fitness center every day and was happy with having that so accessible. You did need to use gate codes to get into the pool area, fitness center, and then back onto the property when coming back from the beach, but I appreciated that because we knew that the property was secure and could only be used by people who were staying there. Having on-site security was a plus too. Best for last. As part of the unit we were guaranteed two beach chairs and an umbrella. This was a game changer as we never had to worry about having a spot on the beach. The property is surrounded by other condos, so no public beach access in site, which made the beach not crowded at all and feel very exclusive. Location - Sterling Sands is perfectly situated along the beach front within Destin. You are minutes from so many shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and other activities. A lot is even walkable . The Back Porch restaurant (great ocean view seating), is a 10 minute walk from the beach. I can't say enough good things about our visit. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about a beach vacation in the Florida Panhandle.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo! The room was clean, cozy, and offered a stunning view that made every morning feel like a postcard. Wonderful Experience

This was my first attempt at vacationing using a VRBO and it was a great experience. The location is very close to lots of eating choices, souvenir shops and most importantly the beach! The condo was clean, spacious and comfortable. The only reason for the four stars versus five was that there was some sand on the floors, which may be inevitable due to the location. The balcony looks out over the pool, beach and water which was enjoyable after a day at the beach. The arrival process was easier that I had imaged and there was plenty of parking during our May visit. No negatives to report during our week's stay.

Destin Stay April 2025

The location of the condo is perfect and the building, pool, and beach access is great! It is located close to many restaurants and the HarborWalk. The only negatives I would say is the condo itself needed some attention. Paint on the walls was chipped, there were nails on the walls with no pictures, there was garbage left from the previous renters in the bedroom and the shower head in one of the bathrooms was very lose. We did not spend a lot of time in the condo and we were 2 adults so it did not take away from our vacation, but wanted to clear on this review.

Great location. Close to everything. Being 8 stories tall made it much less busy than the larger condos we have stayed at in the past which was great. Check in eas extremely easy and the condo complex was clean and well kept.

The condo is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. The pool was clean and family friendly. The view from the balcony was gorgeous! The host was so nice and so easy to get a hold of. We are booking for next year with her. The beach was perfect as well. Definitely coming back!
