This casual Floridian condo offers fabulous views from its private, Gulf-front balcony up on the 10th floor, allowing you to see for miles! Enjoy a light and airy coastal feel throughout, as well as everything you could need to feel right at home. You'll be treated to full-size appliances in the well-equipped kitchen, a nice glass-top dining table with four chairs & three additional bar stools for quick breakfasts and homemade dinners alike. After a day of lounging on the white sand beach below, you can take advantage of the property's shared amenities - including swimming pools, a hot tub & two fitness centers - or curl up in front of one of the two TVs and two DVD players. At night, the master suite offers a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower/tub. There's a twin-over-twin bunk bed with cozy bedding in the hall, as well as a second full bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower.

Pelican Beach Resort is a Gulf-front property on the sparkling shores of Destin, an ideal escape for those looking to swim, surf, sunbathe, take long walks along the beach & test their skills in a wide variety of water sports. You'll also be right in the midst of Destin's most popular attractions, with Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park practically across the road, The Track's go-karts and miniature golf course less than a mile east & the Destin Harbor Boardwalk just over two miles west. Tee off on the Seminole Course or the Choctaw Course at Indian Bayou Golf & Country Club (two miles northeast), find an assortment of eateries and grocery stores within a few minutes' drive (including Target and Winn-Dixie half a mile northwest) & enjoy the natural splendor of Henderson Beach State Park (two miles east).

BEACH SERVICES: Beach services at the Resorts of Pelican Beach is provided by La Dolce Vita. Hours are 9am to 5pm from March 1st through October 31st. All beach services are managed by La Dolce Vita under agreement with the Pelican Beach Resort Owners' Association. Policies are applicable to all guests and owners of the resort. Beach setups may be rented directly on the beach the day of, based on availability.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 10.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

If you value comfort, this isn’t for you

The location was great but there are things that aren’t shown in the listing. 1. The bed was very uncomfortable that I couldn’t sleep most of the time making me tired all day and the 12 hour drive home miserable. 2. The appliances and furniture upkeep is nonexistent. They’re old with water damage and rust. 3. The towels provided were cheap and rough. The bed sheets were dirty. I felt like I was in a motel 6 that had condos. If they would take just a bit of time and money, they could have great potential for a fabulous condo. Now for the resort, 1. The hot tubs were broken during our stay due to the heat sensors going out, so they told us. 2. The pools were ice cold. While there are the everyone piled into the only less cold one. They said they won’t turn the heaters on for the pools until late October. 3. I’ve never had to worry about our stuff being stolen when on a beach vacation. Leave our stuff while we go into the ocean or pool, but our stuff was stolen here. Security said, “i don’t know what to do. You should get it back if you see someone with it.” 4. One security guard cared about his job too much while the other sat on his phone the entire time. The good. We had fun. My husband and I always find the fun especially on a vacation. The tiki bar was nice and the people were nice. Location is good. But so many other places have these positives along with a nice condo.

Nice view, lanai was also nice. 3 pools and hot tubs a plus. Tiki Bar needs to be open later in the evening. Close to everything you would need. Unfortunately, bathrooms could have been cleaner also the floor needs to be moped. All in all it was fun time for my husband and me! Would like to go back, but maybe not through Vacasa.

The property is over crowded. There are 6 rows of beach chairs with no view of the water that far back and the ones at the water are booked out months in advance. Cannot use your own tents. The plugs in our room did not work. There is no washer and dryer in the room it’s outside the room for everyone to use and it was out of order. So a week with no washer and dryer. Beds were really uncomfortable. Ice maker didn’t work and no ice machine on the property. I emailed them to see if we could check in a little bit early and they wouldn’t let us, We were there and our room was ready just wouldn’t let us check in early. Overall annoyed and will not be staying at this condo or pelican beach resort again.

STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Inaccurate online description, very misleading and dishonest host.

Let me preface this review by saying that my new husband and I are typically good at making the best out of crappy situations, that being said, this was our HONEYMOON and we did the best we could with an extremely crappy situation. We checked in with a lot of excitement, entered our room, loved the view and then shortly realized that the bedroom window was on the main hallway across from the laundry room (less than an unpleasant view, not even sure why there is a window in the bedroom at all to be honest), then we heard the most obnoxious construction noises coming from the room directly above us, the noise was so loud you couldn’t hear a tv, you couldn’t nap, you couldn’t sleep in, you couldn’t hear the ocean with the door wide open, and you couldn’t even play music. Needless to say, we basically never spent any time in the condo and that wasn’t what we had paid for. The construction workers start at 8am every morning, so throw sleeping in right out the window and they work until sundown. We have 2 small children and really looked forward to our honeymoon and sleeping in, taking naps, etc. I don’t know that we would’ve been able to sleep or nap comfortably anyhow due to the beds being the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever laid on. We even tried sleeping on the pull out couch in hopes it could be comfier. Other than that ruining the entire condo experience for us this unit was nasty. Very gross stains on the couch cushions and pillows, the place was not swept before we arrived (floors were covered in sand). The last thing that really turned me off was that we had to go buy our own towels to dry off from a shower with. The towels provided are small enough to be a small toddler’s towel and were so rough I couldn’t even dry my face with it. We went and purchased our own $7 towels from the target across the street. I would have loved to message the property manager had I believed they would do anything to help make our stay better, but after reading other reviews and chatting with other people staying at the condos, it would have been a waste of my breath. Had we not already paid for our trip I would’ve wanted to leave early. The day before checking out I received an option to pay for late checkout and laughed, I would’ve loved to get money back for an early check out instead. In the description, yes it said there would be construction going on at the complex, NO it does not say that it will be in the room directly above you and ruin your trip.

Toooo many rules. Older property. Not maintained. Some dirty linens. Wet towels under sink. Appliances old. Almost broken. No room on beach for our chairs and umbrellas. Except behind 5 rows of their chairs. By LDV rentals. Never stay again!!!!! Not allowed to sit wherever we wanted on beach. Horrible experience.

Poor communication with owner. Unit needs a deep clean

Communication with the unit owner is terrible. I emailed twice. The first time I got a response 1 week later, still no reply to the second email. Upon arrival to the unit the keypad access code didn’t work. The unit needs a good cleaning. The bathroom nearest the kitchen smelled terrible! Furnishings could use an update. We have stayed at pelican beach resort several times. The property is great. I just cannot recommend this unit.

Overall the room was just OK - a couple of safety issues with the unit - the front door does not shut properly, cans of paint stored on the hot water heater and the unit is right next elevator. The front desk people are very rude and the complex is very dirty and trashy. He did mention the pool was close to complete. But they where starting work on it around 7:00 am every morning. it will be lucky to be completed by October! The crew that run the beach chair service are top notch and help make our stay more enjoyable

We totally enjoyed our stay in this condo. My only recommendation is that the ceiling in the living room has several spots that are in need of repair. This did not cause any problems during out stay but they do distract from the very cute beach décor. Love the upgraded kitchen and bath counter tops. Would definitely stay here again.

Stressful!!

Condo itself was not bad, The resort was way to crowded!!! never saw any staff unless behind a counter. Worst part was we paid for week rental of chairs and umbrellas and people literally come with their wagons and ALL their beach stuff and plop almost on top of you and are so rude!! They need some regulations for that for paying customers!! Two condos down that is NOT allowed. Didn't seem very relaxing when you have to hurry to claim a spot!!
