"This property appears to be undergoing a renovation. Upon arrival, I was a little suspect of what the rooms would be like. The hallways were OK, not super clean, but not dirty, just worn. The elevator situation is just OK, there are two floors, and the elevator buttons are marked 1 & 3. But floor 3 is actually floor 2; it was odd. The elevator was old and noisy. The first floor is not truly the first floor, you have to climb 9 steps to get to floor one from the ground floor, there didn't seem to be any rooms on the actual ground floor. When we did get to our rooms, we were very surprised to see they had been completely remodeled, clean, new furniture, carpet, etc. Very surprised. Floors were creaky, you could hear people in the floor above us and I still cannot figure that out since I was on the first floor, and it appeared there were no rooms in the 2nd floor. Perhaps the staff live on the 2nd floor. For the price, you cannot go wrong. The rooms really were nice inside. I just think that possibly, since it is under new ownership, they are just getting things together. Definitely stayed in worse places for more money. A good bargain."

"The only amenities was coffee, no in-room coffee pot. Lighting in the room could use updating. Bed was comfortable, but had a ripped hole in the bed spread. Although the room was clean."

"I didn’t actually stay at the property… I had a personal emergency and couldn’t make the trip but because the cancellation policy at the hotel was very strict. I just left the room on occupied."

"I felt like I was sleeping with my old "friends" (writers of books I have read and loved). Close to the river, and Mark Twains home. A sweet park is only a block away."

"AMAZING PLACE! Everything was incredible. Bed was comfortable, tv was large, hot tub big enough for 2, shower was gorgeous, decor was just top notch. This hidden gem needs more attention!"

"The parking lot, was filled with old mattresses and furniture. The garbage bins were overflowing. The hallways were not vacuumed and littered with food and crumbs. The plaster was coming off the wall in the bathroom. Overall this hotel was not a pleasant place to stay even for one night."

"Our room was delightful. The bath was down the hall but not inconvenient. We did not select the breakfast option. We did not have the opportunity on this trip to partake of the nearby shops."
