"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights toward the end of our trip to Scotland. The hotel is housed in an older building, but the bathrooms have been nicely updated. Overall, we found our room comfortable, although with the colder weather, it was somewhat difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature.
One important consideration is that the hotel does not have an elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs, depending on your room's location.
I also had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant on one occasion, and unfortunately, the experience was rather disappointing. The service was not particularly friendly or attentive, and I had to ask for coffee several times. The breakfast itself was average at best.
On a more positive note, the hotel staff were polite and courteous throughout our stay.
One big advantage of this hotel, particularly for those travelling by car, is the availability of complimentary parking, which is convenient."
