The surrounding rolling chalk countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds offers miles of walking and cycling opportunities with a host of pretty villages and hamlets to explore. Lund is home to a traditional village pub and a firm favourite with the locals offering tasty hearty pub food and comfortable interiors. Only a 2-mile drive away is a Michelin star restaurant which lies in the beautiful village of South Dalton. Booking early is advised to avoid disappointment.
The market town of Beverley and the ancient, cobbled streets of York are under an hour away. Don’t forget to bring your golf clubs with you as there are a number of golf course within the area. Take a drive to the coast and enjoy the vibrant seaside towns of Hornsea and Bridlington, or further up the coast is the home of Captain James Cook – Whitby. The stately homes of Sledmere House and Gardens, Burton Agnes and Castle Howard are a must visit. Whilst RSPB Bempton Cliffs and the North York Moors National Park are a little further away and Hornsea beach only a 15-mile drive.
