We were looking for an intimate space to spend our anniversary and we found it. Far enough away for a quiet weekend yet close enough to enjoy farmer's markets and wineries.
This cabin was perfect for a long relaxing weekend for my husband's birthday. The location was close to Pedernales state park. The cabin had everything we needed and was just the right size for a couple. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and swinging in the swinging, under the house, after a day of hiking. Beautiful property!
Beautiful home and perfect amenities. It was raining and lightning the night we arrived and it was so beautiful looking out the large windows. It was certainly an amazing and peaceful stay.
Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. We spend hours on the treetop balcony watching the birds, squirrels and deer. Just minutes away from Pedernales Falls State Park and enjoyed a day of hiking and swimming there. Definitely want to come back with more friends and take advantage of the whole group of treetop cabins.
Overall, our stay was good however the property did have some things that were in disrepair such as the patio chairs and bed’s firmness as disgusted in other reviews. The property was very clean. It’s charming little area! I would also suggest a loveseat instead of a single chair for two people seating.
It was nice. I like to visit Pederneles State Park, but it is very hard to get a camp site there. This cabin is only a 5-10 minute drive away. It’s nice and quiet with a nice deck for relaxing at night and in the mornings. I also found a brewery only 5 minutes away too. Quite handy.
This was exactly what we were looking for. We actually stayed in the Garden House. Changing our reservations to the Garden House was seamless as everyone was so helpful. My only suggestion would be is have what you need when you arrive (coffee, food, etc), so you can enjoy your stay without running back into town.
Lock on door was a pain, had to slam and jiggle door around 5 min. to lock, Wi-Fi didn’t work at all Friday, finally got Wi-Fi in afternoon Saturday. Overall loved the house and decor and porch watching the deer. Very relaxing except my hubby cursing the lock on door…will visit again!

Misled by 800
The property was nice. The cabin was the perfect size for 2.Upon arrival, we did not get the wine and snack basket like the picture. The kitchen was not well stocked with cookware; what was there was old and worn. Bathroom towel were dingy and the toilet seat was very loose. The bed was extremely lumpy, pillows were flat and were stained with who knows what… No blanket, only a sheet and a top spread that was unwashed and had food stains. Bed creaked and was noisy. Lastly, we had noisy roommates in the walls (we think birds) that chirped all night. Not the 800 weekend getaway we expected. Horrible to think I paid for hotel quality, but got deluded. Never again!!!

Cute but not comfortable
The cabin was nice, and the deck was a quiet place to hangout. The bed was very uncomfortable. The cheapest mattress one can buy. And the water heater was so small the shower immediately started fluctuating in temperature as soon as you turned it on.
The cabin was spacious and clean.
It was private and you could touch the trees from the deck. Enjoyed our stay very much. It was quaint, clean and private.
Any suggestion I would give would be a new bedspread/comforter. Seemed and looked very old, and better lighting on the stairs.
I'm a gardener and walked around the peoperty and made a nice pile of fallen branches.
Don't want to sound at all like a complaint because it was very enjoyable.
I would like to come back and rent out all of the cabins for a little family reunion
Nice place, clean. The WiFi is non existent, wouldn’t recommend staying here if you need to stay connected. There is a piece of paper on the table with several WiFi logins and passwords, paper states to try all combinations of logins and passwords. None of them worked. Roku TV, which is fine, except it keeps kicking you off because there is no WiFi.
Overall nice place, peaceful and quiet.
We stayed for Labor Day weekend, 2024, at the Nautical House (part of the Arbor House group of houses) north of Dripping Springs. The location was great to visit Pedernales Falls State Park, Sundance Hill Farm, Texas Hill Country Olive Company, as well as breweries, wineries and distilleries. The best part of the house was its location. The back deck looks into the woods and with many trees hanging overhead, making for wonderfully peaceful mornings for coffee and equally peaceful evenings looking at the stars through the tree branches. And the number of stars you can see in the country is amazing compared to city life. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Hill Country Premier Lodging was easy to work with, communicated clearly and responded quickly with any questions. We would not hesitate to stay there again if our travels take us to Dripping Springs. We highly recommend it!!
Very well kept up and clean. Each morning there was deer just hanging out and we could see from our porch.
Another great thing was the way each of the tree houses are positioned. They’re angled out so if you look out the window you’re not looking at the other tree houses window.
The treehouse is about an hour away from circuit of the Americas, so it was a great place to come back too, and well worth the drive after a day, being surrounded by large crowds.
Only thing I would suggest is for each treehouse to have its own unique door code to unlock. We arrived really late the first night and wasn’t sure which one was ours since it was so dark. Then we opened the door to what we thought was our treehouse using the door code in our email. But immediately realized it wasn’t ours that we had booked. Thankfully we got it right on the 2nd time.
We enjoyed our stay. So very quiet which is what we were looking for. Gun shots, but it is texas and im sure a hunting season. Didnt bother much, but a surprise. Not handicap accessible. Loved the shared areas. Since its winter, I guess why there wasnt any bags for cornhole and only one horseshoe. I think it will be BEAUTIFUL in the spring and summer. Would like to have known there was an outside grill. And also a microwave. Would love to see that updated. Only a mini fridge but worked out fine. Please check the water in the bathroom . Couldnt get the temp right in the shower. Also the mattress, cute uncomfortable. Dishcloths would be helpful. I would bring my own towels next time. Also more blankets and better pillows. The cleanilness was good. Overall id rate it a 4 out of 5.

The house was cute and had a nice view from the porch. The mattress and pillows were very worn and uncomfortable to sleep on. The water pressure in the shower was terrible and the water temperature was hard to control. It was either scalding hot or cold. There were 2 irons, but no ironing board. I sent a text to the property manager and was told they would ask the owner. I never heard back from them and never received an ironing board. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I don't think we will be back.

Disappointed
Towels and sheets are old and stained. Blanket on our bed had blood stains, and clearly had not been washed ash in a long time, it should be replaced. Ceiling fan gross. Throw rugs very dirty. Mattress needs replacing.
The whole cleaning of the place did not give you the feel of being disinfected. Considering COVID is still around.
Door was hard to lock. We followed there directions on how to do it.
The house itself is very cute. Y’all just need to purchase some new items.
Out door area is cute. You do not get Wi-Fi or TV.
Which we were prepared for. Drive to top of hill to get signal.
Overall we would stay again with friends if these items were addressed.
We stayed at the Nautical House (Arbor house of Dripping Springs, Tx) for our Christmas this year. It was just my husband and I on the entire property. The cabin was so beautiful and very clean ( I thoroughly checked when we first arrived). We loved our stay and will definitely be going back again. Make sure you bring plenty of food since the nearest town is a good drive away. They have a small dorm style fridge, a convection oven, a microwave, and a grill outside (No stove). Wifi signal was great the entire time. We thought we'd have to fight with it and probably not have signal at all but that wasn't the case. They had a tv and a Roku and we were able to log onto our accounts to watch movies. Signal on the tv did glitch now and then but it was no big deal. We also downloaded movies from Netflix and Amazon Prime before we went and brought an HDMI cable to hook from the laptop to the tv to avoid any wifi issues, so I highly recommend that too. Or just sit on the porch or at the firepit and enjoy nature! They had a horseshoe and cornhole game area around the firepit and a tiny little pond nearby. We loved the bench swings on the property the most. Overall it was a wonderful experience. The only part that sucked a little bit was the water in the shower would go from hot to cold constantly but perhaps it was our good moods that found humor in the situation and we laughed the whole time since it wasn't a big deal at all. We're beyond happy we chose to stay at the Nautical House!!
