"We went up - looked at our room and it was just awful. We went back downstairs and 2 other couples who had just checked in - did the same thing. Refund is warranted but didn’t want the front desk to have to deal with it as he had enough complaints at his desk."

"Property was excellent and host responded to messages immediately. We were in town for the horse races at Churchill Downs. The property is 2 miles from the track and within walking distance of local restaurants. Excellent experience."

"This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. The staff were rude. The hallways had carpet that smelled very bad and looked very dirty. The room smelled very bad with cigarette and bathroom smell. The toilet had poop marks inside the bowl. There was hair on the bathroom floor. It looked like it had not been cleaned. The bed was very uncomfortable and one could feel the springs in the mattress. Because it was Kentucky derby weekend we paid $350 for a room that costs less than $80 in general. Finally we could not stand the room anymore and decided to checkout 3 hours after we checked in. The manager did not even ask why we were leaving so soon. When I told him that the room was dirty and smelly he did not even apologize. He said in a rude tone, do you want another room? I asked for money back and he refused. We ended up going to a different hotel."

"Every six months, myself and my three sisters, as well as spouses, get together at different locations in the central part of the country.This house is located in an older area of Louisville. This was awesome for us as most of the activities we did were nearby.Easily five to ten minutes from Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger Museum. We also visited the Falls of Ohio State Park, just across the river in Indiana.Just one thing to be aware of:Because the house is older, the two bathrooms are on the main floor, one in the master bedroom and the other in the hall. Consequently, those sleeping in the basement bedroom, or the upstairs bedrooms, need to use the stairs at night to use the bathroom. Not a problem for younger people, but something older people should consider.As for all other aspects, the house is a home run!!We had short drives to everything we were there to see. We had two of our party that walked to the nearby Catholic Church for Sunday service.Our entire group, ranging in age from the mid 50s to the mid 80s, walked to lunch in the Schnizelburg area on Goss Ave!!The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 to enjoy our time together.There was plenty of parking. We had four vehicles. One parked in the garage, two in the driveway, and one on the street.The host was very responsive in any contacts that we had. Check-in and check-out was smooth and easy.Thanks so much!"

"Very nice house, great decor and well stocked. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. Great location - walking distance to restaurants, shops and about a 10 minute drive from downtown. Plenty of street parking and appreciate the check ins from host to ensure we had everything we needed.Would recommend for a cost effective alternative to hotels and ample space for couples or small family."
