Great space in the 2 bedroom apartment we had. The internal doors couldn't close and we had an issue with the shower spilling out cause the drain wasn't flowing well. The restaurant food really needs attention - we had raw chips on both occasions we ordered (burgers & sandwiches) and the steak was woefully overdone with the second being good. Amazing space with great amenities for the whole family.
The property was exceptional. It would be nice for the cleaning staff to provide services daily. The reception and dining staff were wonderful and made sure we are properly fed.
Dunkeld is beautiful and so relaxing. They have a lot of activities and their restaurant's food is absolutely amazing! The room was beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. I would just not recommend the quad bike ride...that was really a waist of money.
The place is beautiful, no doubt, and if you want a quiet get away then this is for you.
I did find the roads and lighting around the estate to be rundown somewhat, and that I feel is not good.
Everything else is truly beautiful.

The estate is beautiful. The restaurant serves very good food at good prices. But one of room stank of smoke and had no heating (it was 4C outside in the evening) and staff would not do anything until I very firmly asked for another room.
In the morning running around the estate I got to see zebras, springboks and water bucks. So very happy stay in the end.
To say that the hotel 'misrepresents' itself with its room photos would be an understatement. The rooms are dated and poorly maintained. They provide exactly nothing for their guests - no shampoo, shower gel or soap. There is no "tea and coffee making facilities", as advertised. This is, in itself, a shock for a property that claims to be 4*.
This, however, is nothing compared to the aggressive, even menacing communications that are constantly received from the hotel (via the Expedia messaging system) both before and during the stay. The first communication from the hotel reads, "At checkin... We'll review all the information collected, including your ID, credit card, and registration form, to confirm that everything is in line with your reservation and our hotel records ... If you pass the verification process and all information matches, we'll proceed with your check-in... If you don't pass the verification process or if there are discrepancies in the information provided, we'll politely explain the situation and inform you that we cannot check you in at this time". Which is simply astonishing. It goes on, we received three separate demands during our two night stay that we check out before 10am on our last day.
Honestly, it is an achievement for a hotel in such a lovely location to get things so wrong.
I booked a luxury house … When we got there we were put into an apartment. After speaking to the manger we were into the luxury house …but when go to the house the carpets were wet.
They then tried to give us another house that didn’t look as if it was clean …
The setting is very beautiful and well maintained. Stayed in the self-catering cottages which are very well equipped, clean, comfortable and attractive. Lots of extra things to do - fishing, cycling, walking, horse riding, tennis, etc. Short drive to the village that is full of interesting restaurants and shops.
Was not nice at all, had to share basically a house with 4 other rooms even tho we booked luxury room. We heard people all hours of the night making noise in the house.
Our cottage was on a trout dam which was lovely. Cottage needs some renovating, and the spa was disappointing. Therapists were great, but spa is small and unimpressive.
Overall it was a relaxing and quiet stay which we enjoyed, lovely fireplace in the cottage. Dinners good in the restaurant.

Great food & service. Our room was damaged by a rain storm so we were upgraded to the main farm house. The farm house is huge, but terribly dated, furniture old and tired, one tv slightly bigger than a microwave oven... While the mere size certainly was considered an upgrade, I would rather stay somewhere else.
