Cabin needed better heat as it was mid January and it was dangerous getting to cabin due to very icy conditions on roads. Definitely was a cabin in the woods. Hiking nearby.
Great get-a-way weekend. Cabin is cozy and warm. Enjoyed the fire pit and walking the property. Would love to stay again. Host answered questions quickly.
It was a great stay. Close enough to activities restaurant town but yet far enough for peace and quiet…got to see a deer come up and close….it has everything you need for a pleasant vacation. Thank you for everything
This place was the cutest! It was close enough that we were able to run to a store nearby yet so far back in the woods there was no light/sound pollution. Cell service was a bonus too!
I loved my stay at High Rocks! The cabin is very secluded and quiet, it was very clean, and the furniture (especially the queen bed) is very comfortable. It is also a great location for hiking. Very highly recommended!
We loved this cabin so much :) very secluded, clean, comfortable and relaxing. We had a hard time leaving at checkout. We loved that our dog Princess also had a great time :) definitely will be back :)
Cabin was just what we were looking for. Nature and away from all the buzz.
Saw deer, Turkey and a 15 foot close encounter with an adult bear.
Will stay again!
As advertised. Nothing fancy, but clean and cozy. We loved the seclusion. You will need a higher AWD or 4WD vehicle. My Subaru Impreza dragged in some spots of the lane. No WIFI, but that was actually nice to unplug.
My wife and I spent a week here, the views in the area are amazing! It's a very easy drive into the cabin as well. We expected things to be a bit cleaner than they were but it was nice, just a bit dusty. ( yes I know its a Cabin ) Also there is no Keurig as said in the description and make sure you bring your own water to drink and use for coffee. The grounds are beautiful and very enjoyable!! It is very quiet at night and you will be able to disconnect. We will definately consider staying here again!
We really enjoyed our stay. The privacy was awesome. The cabin was clean. We loved the covered front porch and fire pit. The only thing that was disappointing was that we were there during the week and all the museums that we wanted to visit were only open on the weekend.
We had such an amazing time. It was peaceful and beautiful. Hiked through the woods and had s’mores by the fire. Host was also very responsive. Can’t wait to book again!
Want to get away from it all -- but with pleasant furniture & modern appliances? Deep in a northern forest (but within easy drive of services, we fitted in two parents, three tykes, an old man & a dog, all for a low price. Ideal for exploring nature, which is the main attraction of this county. Outdoor firepit, fully stocked, is a social center.
My 3-day stay here was Just what I needed... the place was Clean and Comfortable. The area is amazing! I can't wait to get back! The Owner was Very Friendly and Courteous, and I can't thank him enough... I would Highly recommend it....
High Rocks Cabin - wonderful from start to finish!
We spent the long Memorial Day weekend at High Rocks Cabin. This was our first trip to Sullivan County. We really could not have chosen a greater location for our stay. It was central to each place we planned to go hiking/sight-seeing. Perfectly quiet and peaceful. A true gem in the mountains! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!
Great place to get away from everything. Two small towns near by with very friendly and helpful people. Cabin also would be good to hunt. There is 100 acres of land in the mountains. Saw 2 nice bucks going to the cabin.
Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy this hidden gem of yours!♥️ Location is great, jump onto 220 and not far from the towns! House is very clean! It is amazing to hear just piece and quiet! The snow when we got there was beautiful! Thank you so much again! We can’t wait to make it back up!♥️
A fabulous get away location is where this cabin rests. It is close to many forest hot spots for hiking and vista points. The host is very responsive to ones needs and inquiries. Directions are simple. The cabin interior is comfortable with good beds and a kitchen stocked with cookware and supplies. I really enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit and photographing the beauty that abounds.
The cabin is very nice and secluded. If you want nothing but peace and quiet with no neighbors, this is the place to stay. Unfortunately we had a little emergency and had to leave earlier....which was disappointing because we wanted to stay longer! The cabin is very clean and well stocked. Better than I would have thought. Hoping to get back there again someday.
We so enjoyed our quiet time in this lovely, secluded cabin! Close to great hiking at Worlds End and Ricketts Glen but also nice to just explore the property and sit by the fire. The cabin has everything you need and the owner was very responsive. This is one of those situations where I hesitate to tell people how nice it is because I selfishly want to keep it to ourselves! :)
The High Rocks cabin was better than we expected! It was so secluded, you couldn’t resist living in the moment. Clean, Cozy,
It was wonderful to explore Worlds End & Ricketts Glen, despite the pouring rain, and come back to warm up by the gas fire place.
The owner was so accommodating to any questions we had.
The only downfall, was not being able to use the bathroom base heat. It got fairly cold that weekend.
We WILL be back!
