Absolutely fantastic, from a seasoned traveller this was a tremendous hotel for the price paid. Can’t comment on the food as we ate out but room spotless and pool a lovely bonus. Don’t believe the negative reviews and give it a try!

I found Clayton to be an excellent choice for my stay. The Japanese quarter is a stones throw away and there are plenty of very nice restaurants around. The property itself was really impressive and I will be staying at Clayton for all future Düsseldorf trips

Fine hotel, but hotel staff could work a bit more on customer friendliness. The most scary thing we experienced was that the cleaning lady entered our room without waiting for a response (she knocked on the door and immediately opened the door, without waiting). About the room: the bathtub shower was super slippery and dangerous + not spacious at all.

The location is truly wonderful, with everything conveniently within walking distance to the mall and a variety of dining options. I really appreciate the property and the staff, who have all been so kind and attentive. However, I did notice that the space doesn't quite have the fresh, clean feeling I was hoping for. Convenient hotel in a prime location for the Japanese quarter. Online check-in and check-out was very efficient. Room size itself is good too. However, it seems the change of ownership didn’t do the hotel well. There are no more Japanese shops (nor hairdresser) in the hotel. Also the A/C was barely working in our room (room 245). Water pressure from the shower was low as well. Wallpaper in the hallways is also starting to let loose. All in all, I would go back to this hotel because of its location. But some changes are necessary.
