"Old Carriage House converted into a wonderful apartment. We loved the location of this stay. We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. The city centre train station was just a short walk away as well. Thank you to our host for the awesome check-in and also for the lift to the "other" train station for our trip back into London. "We absolutely love Walnut Cottage. It is like a home from home, so cosy and comfortable. The owners and the caretaker are so lovely and helpful. The kitchen has everything we need. We love the fire and the garden and the cottage is beautiful. We always take our dogs and they love it too. Lots of nice walks locally, lots of shops nearby for food shopping and lovely places to visit. The road outside can be busy but inside we don’t notice and the cottage more than makes up for it. "Very nice quaint cottage everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed very comfy. The only downside for me was the very steep narrow stairs but were manageable. The owner was very nice and helpful lovely breakfast basket left in the kitchen with bacon eggs tomatoes bread butter and milk. A fire made in the grate just needed lighting. I had a very pleasant stay would definitely stay there again."
