The bird feeders not only attract an incredible amount of birds but also some other mammals such as the Agouti and the Coati. The area is known for sightings of the King Vulture, all types of toucans, tanagers, parrots, etc. Including a Cayman that lives in the lagoon. They also have trails. Food was good, specially breakfast."

"We really enjoyed our peaceful stay at the lodge! It was really special to sleep in the "tree-houses" surrounded by nature and waking up to the most beautiful view of the river! The room and the whole lodge was really clean and the mosquito nets protected us really well. This place is an underappreciated gem. It lies on the banks of the Rio San Carlos with 24 individual cabins. The rooms are very spacious and nicely appointed. While the pictures show the cabins overlooking the river only around four or five of them actually do that. I spent three nights here in August, 2018. The property lies only 11 kilometers from the border with Nicaragua. This area is remote and very hot and humid and the cabins are not air conditioned but have a ceiling fan and a powerful...
