"The property itself was okay, served the purpose of a room to sleep in, but definitely could benefit from a deep clean and some minor upgrades. It’s quiet, which is very nice. There is a bus stop right outside the building, which is convenient, but it’s about 30 minutes to get downtown. The restaurant downstairs is great and the staff is all friendly and nice."

"Nice place for what it is but location has 2 big issues. Road noise is extremely high especially very early morning, bring ear plugs. Buses do go direct to central city but are overloaded in the mornings - commuters and lots of school kids. Some buses are so crowded they don’t even stop"

"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights toward the end of our trip to Scotland. The hotel is housed in an older building, but the bathrooms have been nicely updated. Overall, we found our room comfortable, although with the colder weather, it was somewhat difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. One important consideration is that the hotel does not have an elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs, depending on your room's location. I also had breakfast at...

"Great location to catch city transit, bus was right outside the door very convenient."

"Warm welcome, greeted with a smile 😃 quick efficient check-in. Roomwas clean and tidy with good amenities. Heating was on so room was nice and warm."

"Amazing stay"

"The location is good and the design of the lobby is nice BUT the cleaning is very poor: 1- The shower is unclean at least in our room. 2- We asked them more than 3 times after they “clean” the room to make the bed and take the trash out. How do you clean the room if you don’t empty the trash bin or make the bed? 3- The lightbulb was flickering in the bathroom and it delays when it’s switched on. 4- The WiFi is slow."

"A bit quirky but pleasant enough."

"Everthing was great, but I seen a mouse."

"Overall a not bad place to stay BUT ....... We travel extensively and stay in lot of hotels in the USA and Canada. We were conditioned to free WiFi. This hotel offers FREE WiFi for 30 minutes a day and you have to pay a fee for usage beyond that. 30 minutes! It's not like they undercharge for their rooms and have to make up for it with extra fees."

"It would be easy to focus on the negatives like semi hung curtains and mismatched carpet but it wouldn’t be fair to the property. Yes it is run down and could benefit from an upgrade but then it wouldn’t be the bargain it is. This hotel had a lovely vibe, the staff were lovely, the bed linen perfectly crisp and white and the bathroom clean. My room (6) also had lots of natural light, not a given in cheaper hotels. The location is perfect for a quick and regular bus into town and to get a cooked...

"Decent hotel close to the train station, but they charge extra for Wi-Fi and have no luggage storage."

"Comfy bedding/ beds, nice staff and overall nice place in general - about 20mins to main centre. The hostel is in a nice area would go again"

"Staff was friendly. Room was alright, bed very very soft, sheets not very comfy, pillow flat as a can be. View on the river was beautiful. The bathroom...it had mould on the ceiling and around the tub in the silicone. I didn't shower. The location is perfect, staff are great. Just cleaning doesn't seem to be a forte."
