The Gower Hotel

8/10 Good

"Great location. Lovely breakfast in a modern Orangery. Car parking enough for 12 cars roughly, it is down a really rough track behind the hotel though. Rooms were fine, a little bit dated but clean. Could do with some blackout curtains as the sun streamed in really early."

Hotel Mariners

10/10 Excellent

"I've lost count of the number of times I have stayed at The Mariner's. As a result, I have been accommodated in a number of different rooms The rooms are comfortable, light, spacious and very clean. Apart from a good supply of tea & coffee etc, each room has a hair dryer, an additional plug in radiator (although I have never had cause to use one) and, in most rooms, ironing facilities. The staff are excellent, truly excellent being friendly and very helpful. A nice friendly & popular bar where the serve good quality food and there is nice beer garden / patio area guaranteed to catch the afternoon & evening sun."

The Gwbert Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful setting overlooking the Estuary. Food in general was of a very high standard. Clean rooms are well-equiped and bar/ restaurant areas also lovely and clean. However, just one small thing there were nuts on floor of the lift for the 2 days that we stayed. So maybe the lift needs hoovering daily? Had a lovely stay and will recommend."

"The hotel was clean. Staff were lovely and helpful. The decor was very dated and in need of some serious TLC. It was quite noisy - lots of doors banging throughout the night, but this probably depends on the guests. Parking could have been free, but was an additional £5 a day, which isn't too bad I guess. Disappointed that given the hotel's history it didn't champion Wales in it's offerings - the tea bags in the room were for Yorkshire tea and the breakfast products were from Somerset, of course this doesn't make or break your stay but would have been a nice touch. All in all a perfectly ok stay."

"We had a great stay. The free breakfast was good. When you book they need to give you directions, such as after last roundabout on A40 from Hwest drive 5 miles and turn right. There are no signs on A40. Katy the receptionist is AWESOME. Katy informed us of some great off the beaten path places to go."
