"Did not like the fact that my room had a sliding glass door that opened straight to the back yard, very unsafe for a woman traveling alone. Also was under the impression a free breakfast was included with the reservation, which I was denied at the bistro. The attendee could not make change for a $20 bill and the credit card machine wasn't working. I left hungry because I'd already checked out of my single nights stay. The lady at the register at least took pity on me and gave me a free cup of coffee."

"After a long day of driving, the desk clerk, Carlos, was a breath of fresh air! He was pleasant, helpful and kind. The property is well maintained, The lobby inviting and the breakfast light but good. The beds are great. We were assigned a handicapped room; the the tile floor in the bathroom was slick when dry and dangerous when wet. The foor of the shower stall was also slippery."

"Front desk rude asf. Pool was and hot tub was dirty , bugs and hair , remind you it was inside pool not sure how it was dirty. (I booked for the pool for my daughter’s birthday) definitely do not recommend staying. "

"My husband needed to go to Duke for a challenging three-month medical procedure, so we searched for a place that felt like "home" but was close to the hospital and his cancer clinic. This house — about 9 minutes from the medical facilities — fit our needs perfectly. The open kitchen-dining-living space was comfortable, and our dog loved the fenced-in back yard. There is one bedroom and one full bathroom on the first floor, and two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the second floor, so we were also able to carve out private spaces and accommodate a caregiver part of the time. Although the house is on a busy road, it is set back, and the deck looks out onto a nice patch of trees. We rarely glimpsed the neighbors on either side. One of the best parts of the location is that you can walk down the residential streets on either side of the property and drop down onto a path by a sweet little creek. That path connects with a beautiful trail along the Eno River. Both are great for dog walking or just human walking. So many deer! (In one direction you do have to walk along the busy road for a short distance to get to the side street, but the landlord gave us permission to walk through the adjoining yard in the other direction, as she owns that property too.) Random tip: Don't miss the Durham Farmers Market! The only other thing I can think to mention is that there IS a dishwasher; we weren't sure from the listing and photos. We would definitely stay here again. "
