The room was big and clean, the room service was okay. Food and beverage were tasty and enough. The entire hotel has the ability to impart luxury, but it urgently needs more maintenance. New carpets on the corridor floors, a removed frontside, repairs on the roof and many small improvement in each single room would let it shine.
Maybe the WORST Hotel experience of my life and I travel all over the world. It was filthy and looked as if nothing had been done or upgraded since it was built! Avoid this place AT ALL COST!
Bra överlag, lite långt att gå till poolen. Men det sämsta var att vi fick kånka på varat bagage själva från parkeringen med privatbil till receptionen.

This ambitious hotel is 14 years old. It must have had a hard time, or just about zero maintenance because it looks much older than that. Plug sockets are falling out of the walls, taps installed backwards in the shower (be careful...) playground items beaten up and broken (we had a child along) shops and erstwhile agencies derelict and used for storage etc. Typically the television had no mains plug but bare wires were inserted into the socket - except for the earth wire, which remained hanging... In the garden, quite a few facilities were out of use or in poor condition.
Shame, because what is really good here is the staff. They are so friendly and try hard, from the road sweeper to the front desk staff. The public toilets inside the hotel were immaculately clean, new bedding is spread every day, the waitresses and barman are keen to help and chat.
If you stay here don't take the lake side, because every day loud "music" is played at the beach club and the prevailing sea breeze carries it to your room. At weekends massive loudspeaker cabinets are brought out and many more watts terrorize you until 21:00. It is quieter round the back.
Buffet breakfast and dinner, a la carte menu at midday. Bar always open. Another bar in the garden area and a snack bar.
If you don't have sensitive ears and are perhaps handy with a screwdriver and pliers, you will like it here.
Service terrible. Staff very nice but badly trained. Couldn't provide soda water. They had another bar but I had to go and buy and get myself. Asked for matches and waited 2 hours then told there were none. Breakfast diabolical mess of the strangest items ever. More like a bad lunch. No eggs. General decor of the hotel very dated. Smelt musty and elevators did not work so had to use service elevator. Then tried to add items to my bill on check out. Never stay there again and never recommend
I read the other reviews, as you are doing now, and thought I'd give it a chance... The others were right. Initial impressions are positive, check-in and the room are good first impressions. But eating in the restaurant is a study in bad service. They didn't have most things on the menu and couldn't explain what they did have, so ordering became a protracted process of trial and error. The bar staff were overcome by the complexity of the task of making a Gin and Tonic.
All the services aside, the pool is a good length and has lines on the bottom for swimming, a rare treat on the continent.

I have never done this before, but I strongly recommend against this hotel. A 4-star rating of this hotel makes me question the entire system.
From the beginning, you have the impression of being in the way of an otherwise quiet day of relaxing for the staff. Once in the room, it is as hot as outside. the A/C was not on, fair enough, but then again, it didn't work - after 4 hours and a 3-man repair crew, it came on. More noisy than cool.
Wi-Fi was a joke. Constantly being cut off, having to change between the different AP's, never getting an even close to OK connection. And just make it clear, this is not a standard of the area. Go to the coffee shop in the Victoria Mall, it's complimentary and works as good as any European connection.
The restaurant/room service was abysmal. Long waits for under-cooked, poorly prepared, bland food. Again, clearly no one in this hotel cares.
The bathroom was of such poor quality, that a simple task as taking a shower required the maintenance team once again.
When checking out, it took the staff a lot of time to figure out I had prepaid the room and therefore only should have to pay for the extras of the stay.
Overall, this was the worst run Hotel I have ever stayed in and I am sure not going back.

Staff
Hotel itself has no problem, but staff has no smile, no apologize.
Very expensive for hotel totally devoid of atmosphere. Sprawling interior, empty mini bar & dirty, not even a kettle in the room. You don't need to stay in hotel to lie by the pool. Huge, empty, laid out like prison landings
It seems their hot water supply is limited & doesn't lend itself to tub baths. They do not furnish wash clothes but always clean hand & bath towels. It was very comfortable place to stay & relax pool area & beach area clean nice place to enjoy afternoons they had music but they are not close to any shopping or other places to eat. They are very generous with their dinners & breakfast Buffett is very complete! Close to airport.
