Very Good

Comfortable stay, very helpful staff. We only stayed one night and had a late check in due to flight, so we did not get to try out the restaurant. Only issue was noise outside, many guests enjoying themselves late into the night/early morning and playing music.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, HBO channels, and if you’re lucky, a Mountain View room. It’s dated but charming.. oh and the Mexican restaurant was phenomenal!!
We had an issue with our first room. The staff was super responsive and switched us to a different room within about 5 minutes. They even brought us the key for the new room so we didn't have to go down to the front desk to get it. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The motel is close to everything (dining, shopping, etc.) There's a cute, tiny park right across the street. On a clear day, we could see Mount Rainier from our room!
Was only there overnight before my cruise out of Seattle but was a nice place and the continental breakfast was really great

Gateway needs to have a points system, or a frequent stay Rewards Program. We stay there quite a bit and do not get credit.
Other than that, for being essentially the only hotel in Enumclaw, it is good.

The first room they gave us on the 1st floor had a urine smell and floor damage from it. The second room was much better but it had a leaky faucet and missing door security latch. Otherwise it was ok. The continental breakfast was ok, more than just a roll and coffee, but not much. Location was good, very close to old downtown. The attached Mexican restaurant was pretty good.
A good place to stay for your Mt. Rainier NP trip. Spacious room and beds. Very clean and nice room. Complimentary breakfast. Though it has only two floors, really wish it could have elevator as me and my families had several luggages (maybe adding a luggage cart for folks who stay on the first floor would be nice). Overall a good choice for your Mt. Rainier NP Sunrise base.
I fell in love with the town the second we drove in! The location of the motel was fantastic. We were able to park our car and walk downtown Friday night to enjoy the "cruise" and have dinner. We also had the chance to walk to Starbucks, The Dollar Store, and get ice cream. It was super convenient. I must say, the only thing that was a bit pricey was the 6.00 to go soda from the restaurant. It was all ice. I actually went outside, dumped most of the ice and went back in and asked for a refill. Other than that our stay was great.
