4/5 - Good
Escalante is okay, some good hiking, almost no food options, a great place to visit once but not somewhere I’d go back to again and again.

We got there late in the evening soon after the town had closed for the winter with no restaurants open. Very grateful to the lodge for a good meal

Most low touch checkin I've ever seen. Decent place at a decent price for a kinda last-minute find.

Too many things were closed which was a little frustrating but we managed with the one restaurant, one small grocery store, and the Philips 66.
Loved the small town! The drive to Escalante was so twisty that 3/5 kids got sick on the way.
Awesome!
