"Expensive place to stay, but you’re paying for the convenient location and historical value. The grounds were immaculate and views were beautiful, a surreal oasis in the middle of the desert. We stayed in the main hotel, the room was what you see online, smaller than typical (but given the age of the hotel what you’d get), clean with some pampering goodies, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Staff were helpful (once we discovered the check in desk), especially the guys who dealt with the luggage bringing it to our room.
Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was pricey, but the food was pretty good and our waiter wonderful. We also ate at the Ranch’s Last Kind Words Saloon, which was more reasonable in price and we felt just as tasty. After a full day of hiking and exploring we found the pool at the Inn to be the gem of amenities, quiet, old world charming, and the hot springs temp perfect for relaxing."
