We have had some bad experiences at other places and the hospitality and luxury at Clonmel Castle exceeded our expectations."
"A very well-located hotel, interesting architecture. The room was spacious and clean, as it also was the washroom.
Furniture in good shape and comfortable.
The heated outdoor pool, gym and free parking a great value.
We were offered free breakfast on first day. That was a misunderstanding. I woke up my son so we wouldn't miss the convenience of the free breakfast.
But that was a mistake. Just tea, coffee, yogurt and cereals should be called free snacks, not "breakfast".
We went for breakfast somewhere else after that."
"This property is clean and quiet but not beachside. You can walk to beach in 15 to 20 minutes on a sidewalk, or drive 5 minutes. Home is located in nice neighborhood with a great dog park right across the road. Port Dover is a lovely and friendly town. Host is accessible for questions. "

"The retreat is quiet and secluded and has everything you need. It is a beautiful spot; the pictures don't do it justice. The host (Barbara) is friendly and helpful, but leaves you alone unless you need her. I will stay again. "

"Great location! A short walk down a lane way to get to the stairs directly to the beach.It’s a perfect spot for a family as the one bedroom is most suitable for kids. We would definitely stay again!"

"Everything was as described, no surprises.Beautiful, cozy and relaxing place. The host was very prompt and reliable and made it very easy to find the destination."
"Excellent hospitality and thoughtfulness behind the amenities. The outdoor shower is great and perfectly heated. Highly recommend especially during the cooler days. The bunkie can get hot (our first night stay was 31 Celsius outside) but a portable fan we packed made it bearable. I would recommend packing some camping fans just to keep the airflow going to make things more comfortable if you are planning on staying when it is hot. Other than that, I think it is a great place to escape to unwind. There is almost no cell service on site so just be aware if you need to stay connected. "
