She noticed we had booked an apartment without a kitchen and gave me the option to swap which we appreciated. We didn't have air conditioning but with the amazing old buildings, built with thick stone walls, we only felt we needed it when the temperature reached over 35 degrees. "I had a great staying at Hotel Santo Stefano. The staff is absolutely wonderful; I travelled by public transport and they came to pick me up and take me back to the bus stop. The rooms are very spacious and confortable. The hotel has got a restaurant which is very handy when you have spent a day at the Archive and you are too tired to go out.
