"Breakfast was nice,lovely friendly staff and good parking. Comfortable bed .. The only slight disappointed was the evening meal . We had Fish & Chips which were very greasy and tasted like the fat in the fryer was due for changing . Otherwise the stay was fine "

"Hotel location wonderful , room view was stunning , second time staying here , Staff great but the overall hotel and room really need updating . Rooms are tired and need work , my parents room had a hill view , beautiful view but the window was totally rotten . Quite expensive rooms for the tired decor . Would stay again but overall condition for the price would put me off . "

"Wasn’t made clear it has no reception or amenities and the building doesn’t lend its self to slow sensor lights. It was an accident waiting to happen. Room was ok, however wasn’t aware it was continental breakfast only. Had to leave early so no time to faff making tea. Curtains are not light proof and room was lit up like Blackpool illuminations. "

"The property is very well equipped, clean and tidy . Good shower plenty of hot water and heating. The main drawback for us personally was the very hard mattress in the main bedroom, the second double bedroom mattress was similar .The location is good for seeing Holy Island and also the Scottish borders but the A1 is a very busy road and was quite noisy. Northumberland is a beautiful county and well worth a visit. "

"Beautiful room, real demonstration of how to renovate a Victorian seafront room. Spotless, comfortable, quiet, amazing sea view. Alison and her staff were super-friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast. A perfect base for exploring the area. Only tiny quibble is that the extractor fan in the (otherwise excellent) bathroom is very noisy. Fine as long as you remember to close the bathroom door until the fan stops! "

"Yes, was meant to be a double room though, was instead 2 single beds pushed together. Breakfast was good but a little small in portion size, but was still good. Staff were very welcoming and the young girl on the bar was very nice 😉"
