"The best accommodations we've had in Italy. The rooms are so cute! The stone walls, brick ceiling, and chandelier... I felt like I woke up in a castle. The entire property is just beautiful!! Breakfast was yummy. I wish I took more of the chocolate pastry. Staff was so helpful and friendly. We even met the owner, who was so kind and most generous. "The setting of the La Fortezza is absolutely beautiful, it’s such a gem, one of the most special places we have been. The hotels 16 rooms are located in an historic fortress with stunning views. After a long drive in an enchanting forest you get to the magical SORANO and this hotel. We loved it. The rooms are very pretty and clean and have been renovated in a very unique way with very good taste. The buffet breakfast was very nice. And dinner in their roof patio was lovely. Very nice staff....

"Excellent location facing the lake. Love the old charming characters of the entire building from the lobby to the room and hallways. Biggest and heaviest keychain as well as an old style safe key are rare seen nowadays. One night unplanned stay from a pit stop became our favorite. Highly recommended!"
