"Great bar, plenty of room (dog friendly), great choice of gin, wine by the glass could be improved though. The choice is poor (jack rabbit) better to buy a bottle as nicer wines available. Staff are lovely, can’t do enough, food is delicious and the rooms are clean with nice toiletries and bed linen. Plenty of clean towels and comfy beds. Overall, I would definitely return as the pub is in a great location for Whitby, dog friendly and offers bed & a delicious breakfast at a good price. What’s not to love? Thanks for a fab new year’s break, we would highly recommend."

"Had a lovely 4 night stay. The room was very clean..bathroom too. Enough drawers and storage space. The food was amazing. Breakfast was lovely..good quality and great portions. Restaurant/ bar food brilliant. Food good quality..cooked and presented really well. Staff very accommodating and friendly."

"Wonderful cottage close to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Really cosy, spacious property great for families. Lovely log burner for winter nights. In a picturesque hamlet that is a 10 minute drive to the centre of Whitby. Wonderful views from the kitchen and great for star gazing from the skylight on the third floor. "

"The hosts Phillip and Dee could not do enough for us, they were very friendly. The room was lovely and clean and refills of tea, coffee, biscuits etc provided outside the rooms for guests to help themselves to. The breakfasts we had were amazing, plenty of choice and beautifully cooked. There’s a bus to Whitby just near the house and many other places to visit nearby."

"A great place to use as a base for exploring North Yorkshire Moors and surrounding area. The couple who run this place are really good and helpful, nothing is to much trouble. Highly recommend and will book again"

"This place is a little gem.you had no need to contact clive as everything and i mean everything was supplied and detailed accounts of all trips and knowledge of the area were in 3 folders expertly done by clive and sarena.Would i go again 100%"
