The issue is the noise. Little soundproofing. I later found out they have a third floor. However, and maybe this is Expedia's fault, having a choice between a room that feels like you're at a rave and one where you can actually fall asleep wasn't an option. On the other hand, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. The pricing is still on the high side for what you get, but I think that's a Fernie thing.

This was such an amazing place. It felt like I was staying at a hotel that cost twice as much. Perfect location too for walking and exploring downtown. Also so close to paths to walk the Elk River.

The pool and hot tub area was very nice although right in the lobby which was a bit odd. We didn't use it and didn't see anyone use it during our stay but it was very nice area. The Pub on site was great, food was good and atmosphere and staff were excellent. Rooms are large although maybe a little older but well maintained. Overall a great spot and I would dwfinately stay there again. AND the proce was very reasonable.

The beds were comfortable but the pillows were WAY too puffy which made sleep difficult. After travelling for hours, we just wanted quiet, but a group of adults in front of our room in the hottub, were speaking quite loudly. We heard every conversation they had. The sound from that area just seemed to echo. Then our adult kids were awakened in their room, to someone playing the saxophone at 7am. Not cool. Other than that, it was a good experience. Nice clean rooms.

We had a nice three day at PPL. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. Special kudos to the ladies working the breakfast bistro with lots of smiles. They seemed happoy to assist in any way they could which is refreshing. A few negative comments; they are - A bit cheap on the toiletries and room amenities (a better supply of toilet paper and tissue would have been appreciated), - What happened to the days when pen and paper were supplied on the desk? - Traffic noise from highway in front of the hotel, and - A bright light from the balcony that could not be shut off, Apart from that, it was a good place to stay and we can recommend to the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in Fernie. We used the pool, hot tub and breakfast buffet. A couple of notes: our room was above a kitchen and was very noisy. The eggs were grey on the buffet??

We loved Park Place Lodge and would highly recommend this Lodge to everyone both young and old. The location, amenities and staff were excellent. It was so easy to share the breakfast and Pub venue with our family. And having the liquor store made it so easy to shop close by. The location of the park across the street was a treat . One early morning it was amazing to see a stag and doe grazing. And we loved how close the Lodge was to the downtown. It made shopping and dining convenient. Thank you Park Place Lodge. We look forward to returning very soon.
