Family Getaway

This Fertile house was a perfect place to spend a few nights. My family of four was able to spread out and my girls especially loved the gorgeous upstairs bedroom. Plus we were within walking distance to our favorite Iowa restaurant, Cafe Mir.

Great renovation and location!

Very cute property in the small town of Fertile, IA. Location was perfect as it we were in for a wedding at the Winan Creek Barn venue. This was five minutes away vs almost 20 to the nearest hotel. Impressively peaceful on the back patio at night, and just a few blocks down the block from a great little restaurant called Cafe Mir. Definitely recommend if staying in the area.

Perfect space for our family.

For our weekend stay it was myself, my wife, our 4yr old and my mother. The bed on the main floor was helpful for my mom (no stairs), and the rest of us slept upstairs. Beds were comfortable.

Great Weekend

My husband, best friend, and her husband came down for a wedding in Joice. We loved the idea of having our own space vs staying at the casino. We hung out, played games, and had the best time in this gorgeous small town home.

Beautiful Home

This house was originally my Father's Great Grandmother's place and it was so meaningful to rent it and be apart of that history. It was beautifully redone and enjoyed the time there. Thank you for renewing our old family home into a new life and new memories for years to come!

A Great Time!

This cottage is SO cute and has everything you will need to have a relaxing and incredible time! Our family spent time at the coffee shop and the market, fishing in the town park, and fishing/exploring in Clear Lake and Mason City. This cottage is close to many attractions, yet in minutes allows you to get away to a quiet and serene town that is a true escape. Tracy is amazing with which to work and the property is adorable. You will enjoy this! If we are ever planning a trip to the area again, this is the first property we will search for a vacancy! Thank you, Tracy!

Thanksgiving 2024

My husband and I visited Fertile Iowa to spend thanksgiving week with our son who is a college wrestler. We wanted to make our trip as close to our “home” as possible as we live in South Louisiana, and haven’t seen our son in many months. The home was very cozy and had absolutely everything we could ever need. I was able to cook several large meals with ease and entertain 4 other athletes including 2 high school aged girls. There was plenty of room and the home was very well decorated. We will hopefully be able to stay again in a few months when we come back to visit. Thank you for hosting our family ❤️

What a treasure! This little place is gorgeous and so comfortable. It’s only a few minutes from Clear Lake and Mason City so we could go have all kinds of fun but then come back to a quiet resting place away from the hustle and bustle. There’s too many things to name them all but .. the beautiful lawn, the candy jar, the coffee bar, the interesting books set around, the blankets and pillows.. it was perfect and I hope to be going back again before too long!
