Its location to the Colorado Bend State Park was very convenient. Since the location has reduced light pollution, the sky at night was beautiful with stars. " Absolutely Wonderful Riverfront Getaway!Our stay at Karen’s beautiful riverfront property was simply perfect! The home was spotless, fresh, and incredibly comfortable — ideal for a family getaway. The thoughtful touches made Kayla’s birthday extra special, especially the lovely flowers and cookies left for her — such a warm and personal surprise!We had a blast paddle boating on the river and loved spending time with the exotic animals (and the feed provided was such a nice touch!). The birding opportunities were amazing, and the entire setting felt peaceful and rejuvenating.Karen was a kind and attentive host who responded quickly to any questions we had. The homemade cinnamon rolls were absolutely exquisite — truly the best we’ve ever had!This was one of the most relaxing and memorable trips we’ve taken. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a family-friendly, refreshing escape by the river!"

"Melissa and Bob are the most gracious and helpful hosts. We spent 3 months there to escape our home state winter. Acres of land to explore. Great bass fishing. The dogs are very friendly. The horses Roy and JR, and the donkey Jack are a hoot. All very friendly. Still can say enough about Melissa and Bob, wonderful people. The house had everything we needed for cooking, relaxing and cleaning. The WiFi is super. There is a fiber optic line running thru the property so I suspect they are connected to that. The well water is excellent tasting. Nice patio with a gas or charcoal grill, gas or wood fire pit. Nice shade trees. Lots of wildlife. Just a great place to stay. And stars that we can't see in the city. "
